Maybe it's just me but it seems like Chris is sillier and more natural acting and more free to just make funny noises and stuff when he's with DD&J vs. when he's with other co-hosts.

I have no idea if they got to the Water Temple but I would love for them to recreate one of Arin's most pathetic moments in gaming.

They already took a swing at Arin in the Locoroco playthrough too years ago, so I love that it's all coming back

This series has made me wonder if there’s still active interaction between the two, even if it’s negative. Seems like the split they had happened so long ago I figured it wouldn’t really come up anymore after they had gone their separate ways.

It's probably something that likely pops up between them since it affected both. Ding dong gave Arin shit for dream daddy and Oney had his own problems with him. Nevermind the recent shit like with SrPelo.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something that gets aggravated when Chris hangs out with them, given how shitty things had to end after the Grumps treated them like trash.

I was kinda amazed in that one RE4 playthough that they were only on the second week of doing all that footage. This has felt like a pretty long ass "temporary" playthough.

No one in the crew gets them to focus on the games other than DD and to an extent Lyle. If they're not there no one will actually play well enough to beat a game that's not Souls or RE.

this is my main reason for preferring ayylian and gayylian, they actually seem to be passionate about games and actually pay attention to it.

zach is funny but him, tomar, and lyle all just seem to be more of tourettes "ironic TGWTG meme" tics on the level of old Matt from SBFP with the simpsons

I think it really depends on if Lyle has played the game himself, the DMC Remake and Titanfall 2 are good examples of games they've finished.
The flow changes from Chris at the helm with Lyle and Zach reacting to a game which creates one-offs and randomness to Lyle who knows what to do and is showing Chris something he's played/likes.

Ultimately Ding Dong just has a better ability to point Chris in the right direction while keeping him interested with critiques of the game.
 
With DingDong and Julian, you always have one person there to grind through the boring parts of the game and draw more attention to the good stuff. I like the sleepycabin crew doing let's plays, but if I'm not in the mood for that kind of humor, I don't watch the videos. DingDong and Julian let Chris be his crazy self, and still bring the focus back to the game when something interesting happens.

Plus, I think the straightman/wingman thing DD&J have going on pairs really nicely with whatever Chris is doing.
