Maya is 1/4th Indonesian, 1/4th Indian, 1/4th Chinese and 1/4th Dutch.

I expected Maya to be full Indonesian. But mixed plays better into the story with her lack of identity and feeling out of place.
It was quite obvious that at least one of her ancestors got GEKOLONISEERD. There are three maps in the classroom that represent the origins of the sisters. One shows Indonesia overlaid on top of Europe. Go figure.
The realistic drawing of her in deel 4 also looks quite European.

Wow...Somehow I never found this thread.
I happen to have been an member of that discord server from 2019=2022, and am close friends with a LOT of the core people in the drama that lead to the death of this series. So I can shed light.

Does anyone else think Sam sabotaged the project?
100%. as mentioned in this post

After this fiasco, Gussy drawings would be more age-appropriate. However, the guy who called him out still got banned and mods swept it under the rug. He would later charge back $300 worth of funds. Given mods there are trigger-happy to ban paypigs, it is possible they caused Massa to lose more than $1000 without Massa knowing all of this shit. Imagine being undermined by your own jannies.
1-Petje was literally the worst platform he could have used. I know the person this story was about. He wasn't just a "paypig." He was the first supporter, longest running supporter, and the largest backer he had. He told me why the charge back was so easy. When you set up a subscription, the charges are listed as such so that you can't normally ask for a chargeback. Petje does not do this. Each charge from petja is listed as "Mollie" and appears as a regular charge. The bank assumed the card was compromised and issued the chargeback with no hassle. This was made public and a lot of people charged back. Best part? He was American. The biggest and most loyal supporter was American, and the braindead mods kicked him in favor of a pedo. And why did they do that? Because the pedo was the only one giving high quality fan art after they banned the most popular fanartist for saying the word "Faggot." Yes, really.

2- Sam actually worked a regular wagie job the entire time during production, which is why episodes were so slow. He also routinely shut down any offers from anyone who wanted to help work on the project. Sam could have had an entire animation studio by this point with all the support and volunteers, but his desire to have a 100% Dutch production made that impossible.

tl:dr
It was a shitshow of a discord server, a terribly ran community, and a promising indie animated concept ruined by unnecessary stubbornism

Interesting. I do know who you're talking about though, Apopfonz I think is his name, he got soft-banned for saying faggot and left before mods could talk to him, which is apparently a big no-no and will result in a complete ban for it. He's back now apparently and made up with the mods since then.
On that note, do you recognize any of these locked channels in the spoiler of my post here and what they contained by chance since you were there since 2019? Or were they inaccessible from when you first joined?

Someone from the Zarty found this interesting piece of Massadonië Discord history
Preservetube
The video is only this .gif of some dude dancing with the rave crabs behind him, so here's just the audio of it alone since that's all there is to it:
This was posted on January 20th, 2019 (same day as the channel "Massa Drama" was created). It's pretty much all Dutch so I have no idea what they're talking about, if anyone who does speak Nederlese has the patience and autism to decipher what the fuck they're saying here would be very appreciated.

On that note, I was curious if there were any other videos detailing events in the Massadonië on YouTube, and the only other video I found was an admin named "Mike" reading out some snake story posted on October 11th, 2018 by channel "Captain Obvious".

Only other interesting thing of note when looking up "Massadonië" is this github page for their Discord bot:

And I was gonna end the post right here, however when I searched up Massadonië on Bing, I found this peculiar pastebin dump posted on May 8th, 2019
Geachte Mijnheer / Mevrouw,

Dear Sir/Madam,

This Context is optional, but certainly helpful:

Until recently I was the main administrator of the Community server of the Dutch Youtuber Studio Massa. During my position there I fought against a number of alt-right trolls who shared a lot of politically extremist stuff. Studio Massa, the youtuber and owner of the Server, has been inactive for half a year, takes no responsibility for the Server, refuses to give up ownership and does not offer any staff member assistance by publicly choosing a side. Because of this I got stuck between his wishes / those of the good half of the community and those of the other half (the trolls), which made me overstressed and paranoid. Those same trolls abused the inactive owner to slowly make the community distrust me, which eventually made me voluntarily step down because it became too much for me mentally (exactly according to their intentions). Despite being away from there for a few months now and focusing on my own community where drama has no place, I still get negativity almost daily, and since a few days I know why: The banned extremist trolls have set up a Shadowserver where they collect as much information about me and a few others as possible, expose it and actively spread hate to new and old members of the Studio Massa Community; despite the fact that I have been away from there for months. The owners of that shadowserver allow everything even if it violates the discord TOS, so the existence of this Server is extremely harmful to everyone relevant to Massadonia.
End of Context.

I have two general questions based on this context.

1. Regarding the Mainserver: How is Discord looking at a Server that slowly becomes "a loose cannon" by an owner who has explicitly chosen to become inactive and not transfer ownership to anyone else. In principle, a community and its staff are then doomed to fight it out themselves in the most dramatic ways possible in the event of any fragmentation, as I have unfortunately experienced myself.

2. Regarding the Shadow Server of the banned members: What is the best way to report a Server with multiple Discord TOS violations of multiple types? After a week of analyzing the Server, I have created a spreadsheet with almost all mild to severe TOS violations in the Shadow Server (ID: 523967300173430813). I have added this as an attachment for context, but this does not have to be an official report. But since I can only report 1 user, 1 type of TOS violation and 1 message at a time, I wonder if there is a better way to report this.

You have my sincere gratitude for spending your time to answer my questions (possibly with the help of the context). Please take your time for an answer or follow-up, and if you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

Michael "MikedeKokkie" de Kok, former admin of Massadonia
TL;DR (based on the translated text): This appears to be a 2 party conversation between admin Mike and someone who is not explicitly named, but they appear to be a former admin of the server. They talk about how they had "fought against a number of alt-right trolls who shared a lot of politically extremist stuff." and that these same trolls would "harass" them and that they formed a "Shadowserver" where they collect as much information about them and others as possible, expose it and actively cause discourse to new and old members of the Studio Massa Community. Mike then questions some of the stuff this person brings up as concern.
Now this is very interesting because at this point in time, Deels 1+2 wasn't released yet, only Deel 1, and /qa/ hasn't even been touched by that one Dutch Autist spammer since ~August, 2021. And Soyjaks haven't entered into /qa/ until late 2019/early 2020.
So that begs the question of who is this "Shadowserver" of trolls that have attempted to scrape info and harass one of the admins there into leaving and pester the rest of the community before soyteens did?
Easy Answer: It's retarded 'cord users getting into retarded 'cord drama, it's been that way since 2015.

@LiquidKid Is Sam still working a part time job alongside running his studio. Also who are his customers Ongezellig is the only well animated thing on his channel and his official studio reel has really crude animation.

Lemme add into this since I think I have some information that may be interesting and relevant to the thread:

Since the discontinuation of Ongezellig by Sam the Miserable, Fans of the Series have begin to create projects of there own out of love of the Show.

here are some examples:

Project ROY:

The Project's twitter account: https://x.com/ProjectROYROG

The Project's official Website (Apparently the website is a IP Grabber so Click it at your own risk!): https://redorangeandyellow.com/comicindex.html

Project ROY (ROY standing for Red, Orange, and Yellow) is a fan Comic Series that has at least two episodes in the making. Maya's Valentine's Day, and Maya's Camping Trip. The people behind this project is currently working on the Camping Trip episode while the Valentine's day episode is on hiatus.

Another Fan Project is:

ONGEZELLIG: (UNOFFICIALLY) CONTINUED:

The Project's creator's channel: https://www.youtube.com/@quackzalver

The First Minute of the Project (It's a W.I.P. so please don't mind the low-quality): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN4erVQ8Ghc

According to the description of the Project's video:

"The main principles of Ongezellig: (Unofficially) Continued have always been to:
1. Stay true to Massa's vision as much as possible. We are not interested in making a "fanfic". We are interested in continuing the story started by Massa's pilot as accurately and faithfully as possible. We have no desire for self-inserts, shipping, or any other unwelcome additions.
2. Rehabilitate the public image of Ongezellig to make it more appealing to (Dutch animation) studios, which have otherwise avoided this cartoon with a strong fandom that'd normally make it very desirable due to proven positive audience reception."

Although these projects may sound promising, we must view these projects through a critical lens.

What I find interesting is that PeerHeer and Cam, two users that are in the Massadonië may I add, have both worked on the projects with very different jobs.

So I thought this was gonna be a quick post delving into a few more details behind Massa's past, however what I found ended up being a FAR bigger rabbit hole of undocumented details that I don't think even the most dedicated of zellig fans or obsessed soyteens are aware of. And I believe the best way of organizing this is to go through it like I would with any lolcow thread on a Person of Interest.
Consider this a revamp of my Opening Post back on page 2, only instead focused way more on Sam.

NOTICE:
A lot of what I'm about to write and the information attained may be from Dutch text. I do not speak Dutch, so any information that I do write and source my info from will be machine translated. Likewise, a lot of videos featuring him speaking I will not be able to decipher. So if there's any info that could be misconstrued from Google Translate or important details he could be talking about in his videos, then please let me know below. I will be very grateful for it :heart-full:.
THE BEGINNING
Sam Tollenaar is a 30 year old man diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (or perhaps ADHD in modern times according to him) who was born on March 21st, 1994 in Roermond, Netherlands. Growing up, him, his 2 brothers, and sister during primary school would come up with silly scenarios featuring their own characters interacting with other characters from the cartoons and comics they'd watched together, only these scenarios would feature a lot of violence, drug abuse, black humor, typical immature humor coming straight from a young child. This would be the earliest culmination of him dabbling into the world of comic making, however this soon stopped once he entered secondary school in Lyceum Schöndeln.

Between that time, he would go on to make his (seemingly) first YouTube account under the name "Anargie" in October 27th, 2008 (A)
1720595855852.png
This appears to be where most of his "Massagraf Reviews" and early Dutch YouTube Poops start, as indicated by the end credits of his "Samsonimate" YTP video series.

Below I have all of the Samsonimate videos locally archived along with their descriptions from archive.org.

Besides YTPs of Dutch shows, he would delve into media reviews for shows and cartoons while putting on a small over-the-top persona reacting to it along with minor skits ala The Nostalgia Critic and Angry Video Game Nerd (even sourcing them as inspirations). Some (not all) videos of his show reviews have been preserved on the unaffiliated YouTube channel MassageGiraffeReviews.
massagegiraffereviews.png
All of the videos on that channel have been archived on PreserveTube, however he has a uncompleted video of Sam reviewing a Sonic porn comic called Sonic Project XXX.
Whether the channel owner forgot or the second part got taken down for community violations is unclear, but here is the full video saved locally; once again sourced from the Internet Archive:

The earliest snapshot of his Anargie YouTube channel only dates back to Feburary 8th, 2010. And in the about section of his Anargy channel he says:
anargieabout.png
Dutch:
Kanaal van Massagraf Reviews
About Me:

Het tweede account van Massagraf, bekend van Pingu NL, nu overgestapt naar Massagraf Reviews.
English:
Channel of Massagraf Reviews
About Me:

The second account of Massagraf, known from Pingu NL, now switched to Massagraf Reviews.
Now assuming Google Translate isn't skewing anything and I think really hard about this, I believe he's saying this is his second YouTube account and NOT that this is his "side account" from his other channel under the name "MassagrafReviews" (which is the same channel today that still features a lot of his current YTPs) which was made in March 31st, 2010, whereas Anargie was made in October 2008.
massagrafchannel.png
(I'm not sure what he means by "known from Pingu NL" btw if that's an old YTP he made that got semi famous or something.)
If true that this is his second account, then that would track as in June of 2011, the Anargie YouTube channel would be terminated for Copyright Infringement, leaving a lot of Sam's review videos and potentially other youtube poops as lost media.

Everything that I have talked about above and a little soon after was all sourced from an interview he did with the (now defunct) European website dedicated to platforming comic artists in the Netherlands and Belgium called Stripster.eu. This interview is included as an .mhtml file in the Stripster Archive .zip.

Can you tell us something about your development as a (comic) artist?
Like most people, I started at a young age. My brother, little brother, little sister and I entertained each other with a world that consisted of a combination of characters from comics and animated series that we grew up with (especially Sjors and Sjimmie, Arthur, Dip and Dap) and our own characters. However, our versions had more violence, drug and alcohol abuse and black humor, as only we innocent children can come up with. From that flowed stories, murder games (all the characters are in the hotel and one guest has been murdered, who is the perpetrator?) and eventually also comics. However, this stopped after primary school.

Isn't that a shame?
That's absolutely a shame, I started spending my free time well far too late. To be honest, I have no idea what I did at home after a day at school in those years...
But anyway. It was only very recently (March 2011) that I started writing comics again. Caiasos is loosely based on a story I wrote with my brother in primary school, a parody of the children's series Ik Mik Loreland, but with the same black humor as described above. Caiasos does not appear in this story and was designed especially for the comic, but the country where it is set (Veelvolk) does play a major role in both the story and the comic. I chose Veelvolk as the location because an anarchist society not only offers funny situations, but also to experiment with political ideologies such as anarchy and libertarianism.
There are no real big ambitions, it is mainly for fun and educational purposes. In the field of animation, the ambitions are much bigger, but as a 17-year-old I can't predict much about that yet. For now I want to study animation and eventually practice it as a profession. At least, that's the idea. But those are still dreams, first we have to see if there is a school that wants to let me in.

Democracy or Anarchy, what do you think is the best political system?
Don't see me as an anarchist who is going to bomb embassies and shout for political reform, because the way the Netherlands is governed now is not bad. Democracy works, but it can always be a bit more anarchist (more liberal). Less unnecessary punishments for public urination, drugs and holocaust denial (all three of which I do not do, to be clear). Distance yourself from the authoritarian, conservative and religious and take Dutch tolerance as an example.

What is Massagraf doing when he is not drawing?
The answer can be divided into two categories:
Productive: writing scripts, animating, filming, voice acting, editing videos, playing (bass) guitar, singing, rehearsing for our band and working on the school newspaper as (final) editor/cartoonist.
Unproductive: being bored at school, surfing the internet mindlessly, gaming and watching drawn erotica.

Drawn erotica?
Drawn erotica is what it is, erotica, but drawn. There is a whole underground world on the internet that is involved with this and where money can also be made. The advantages are that fantasies have no limit and there is a do-it-yourself mentality behind it, but I myself have not started it.

Can you tell us something about your videos on YouTube?
My first experience with making videos was in high school, but that career was quickly decapitated by my arch enemy, Copyright. Years later I started again.
In late 2009 my creativity (which had been killed by games and laziness) started to revive. December 2009 I started making video reviews of animated series, which eventually resulted in fifteen episodes in a year and a half. In 2010 I started to fully focus my free time on production and in a very short time I learned a lot about drawing, Photoshop, filming, editing and animation. In July 2010 the humorous edits of Samson and Gert episodes that are the most popular so far started, December 2010 the first real animations started and in June 2011 Copyright struck for the second time. My account was banned and I had to re-upload everything on a new account. Every month there are a few new videos on my channel MassagraveReviews, but Copyright can still strike at any moment.

Name a few reasons to make a video.
There are many reasons to make videos:
- It starts with inspiration from idols. For me, these are mainly Doug Walker (humor), James Rolfe (passion) and Terroja Kincaid (honesty).
- Feedback. That's what it's all about in the end, every time you receive a nice message about your latest video, it's a motivation boost. Criticism is always welcome too.
- Being proud of your final product is also important, looking back on a project with satisfaction and seeing that the hard work has paid off. The final product justifies the production.
- Portfolio. The more and better products you make, the more respect you get where you need it.
- Reputation. Before I started making videos, I was just an average student with no fame outside of school. Now I'm an average student with an audience to entertain.

According to YouTube statistics, half of my viewers are between 12 and 17 years old and mostly (79%) male. Because of the Samson and Gert videos, a number of my viewers are also Flemish (about one in three). I myself have as much sympathy for my southern neighbors as for my fellow countrymen. Apart from the vocabulary, the Dutch and Belgians are hardly distinguishable online, and my Dutch nationalism also partly extends to them. However, I keep my mouth shut about the integration of Flanders with the Netherlands, I am neutral about that.

Why is feedback so important?
It is the most important motivation to make more and better products. I recently received a thank you from a guy whose friend had been in hospital for a while but had a lot of fun with my videos. That motivates quite a bit.

What is your position in the comics world?
Not very deep, since I prefer animations. I keep looking through StripSter every Saturday for interesting material, follow a few webcomics and search for drawn erotic junk every evening, but that is more often illustrations than comics. There are still a lot of Dutch-language albums by Kamagurka, Dirkjan and Doorzon on the toilet, and my knowledge of American comics like Marvel and DC comes mainly from films and animations. The last comic book I bought was Scott Pilgrim, this summer at Lambiek in Amsterdam. Nice book.

Can you tell and show the process step by step from sketching phase to final page?
Caiasos is largely an improvisational comic. The main lines are in the script; details are mainly worked in at the moment of sketching. In Caiasos there is an overdose of references to media such as Futurama, Blackadder and Team Fortress 2.
Comics and illustrations start with rough pencil sketches and are then traced with a pen. The paper disappears under the scanner and is then photoshopped. The first task is to make the lines pitch black, after which the white areas are colored and shaded. Then come the speech bubbles, text, format change and done! It has happened often enough that I discover a mistake after saving and then have to remove it again due to perfectionism.

What does StripSter mean to you?
StripSter was the best way to get my comic read (besides the school newspaper): that is ultimately the goal of comics, to be read. @Massagraf does not often appear in Het Commentaar. At first I thought it wasn't read, but luckily the opposite turned out to be the case.
Furthermore, it's fun to read the entries every Saturday, from which it can be concluded that Juul is my favorite artist on this site. For the rest, I'm still relatively new to StripSter, so who knows what the future has to offer.

www.youtube.com/user/MassagrafReviews
At the start of the 6th paragraph, he talks about having a youtube account when he was in 7th grade but it got quickly banned for Copyright. And at the end of it, he says he had to re-upload everything from Anargie and, presumably, this previous youtube account that came before to the MassagrafReviews channel. We know that not all videos from Anargie or his YouTube Poops were preserved on that account today as re-uploads of them exist on unaffiliated channels or the Internet Archive, however I take it that since he kept getting copyright takedowns for his videos, he probably just privated or deleted most of them so as not to get his third channel terminated.
Before I move on, I want to post this old YouTube Poop tutorial he made that also mentions the Anargie channel at the end credits.

And picking up in the first few months of 2011, it looks like he showed a bit of interest in MLP:FiM too.

He would once again pick up comic making in March of 2011, starting off with a little series called Caiasos. Caiasos, as Sam describes: "...is loosely based on a story I wrote with my brother in primary school, a parody of the children's series Ik Mik Loreland, but with the same black humor as described above." The setting takes place in a anarchist society, as Sam believes that's where funny situations would happen a lot plus exploring some political ideologies like anarchism vs. libertarianism.
From a quick glance at what the comic entails, it seems like a wacky, zany, off-the-wall, risqué kind of comic filled with implied sex, drugs, violence, and references to other shows and games at the time like Zelda-CDi, TF2, Futurama, etc. The comic appears to only have 21 pages (+cover), and it doesn't seem like there was ever any resolution over what was going on throughout it, at least according to the archive.

Ma-668_7432_p1.jpg

Between making Caiasos and one off artpieces on DA, he would start up another webcomic under the name "Mayo en Curry" on December 2011*. Mayo en Curry is a webcomic about two women named Mayo (the girl in yellow with orange hair) and Curry (the girl in red with black hair). They take place in a fictional food land filled with Dutch food references like Frikandels and Negerzonens. Mayo acts as the ditzy, silly stupid girl while Curry plays a bit of a straightwoman whenever Mayo gets up to something dumb; as well as being a gamer girl herself. The comic is a lot more structured as one off newspaper strips and less wild compared to Caiasos, although there's still some lewd references to sex and general dark humor. Like I said at the end of my OP on Page 2, it's not hard to see where 'zellig got most of its ideas and structure from seeing the kind of character archetypes Mayo and Curry have compared to Maya and Coco.

*I have a screenshot of Sam's comics posted on Stripster that includes the dates of uploads, however they are different from the dates shown on his DeviantArt Gallery (A) when you hover over some of the early Caiasos pages there. Which leaves me unsure of whether Mayo en Curry started on December 2011 and not earlier on his DA. I cannot fact check this since the archive only has a select few gallery pages saved.

Besides Caiasos and Mayo en Curry, he had a small one off comic called "Super Mario", I'll let the strips speak for themselves:

He made Region OCs and some art called "Otherities" which seems to be mostly promotional art for his comics.

Besides video reviews, he's also done written reviews of shows for Stripster. Some of them are Euro cartoons, others are western shows like Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Regular Show, Archer, Rick and Morty etc. etc. I was gonna copy and paste the txt here including an english translation, but even that much text was too much for this post, so maybe I'll save it for a future post.
massatxt.png
Quick note before I move on, besides DeviantArt and Stripster, he also uploaded his comics to two other sites: comik.nl and postyourcomic.com. This can be seen on the MassagrafReviews channel below Stripster.

All three of his userpage links are dead and the Archive did not save any pages for it from what I checked:

IT'S JUST GETTING STARTED
At this point, Sam has made his online presence known. He was working on comics, he was making YTPs of Dutch shows like Samson en Gert and Kabouter Plop that were gaining a lot of traction in his homeland. On top of all that, he was getting into animations.
volgeltje

Zwerver vs. Zombies

He eventually changed his display name to "Studio Massa" between 2011-2014 for his 2010 channel and made a new channel on August 17th, 2011 under the name "Massarchief" (this is the one where Ongezellig and most of his animations are hosted).
massarchief.png
It was also during this point that in 2012, he would go on to enter ArtEZ (A) in Zwolle to study animation for the next 5 years.
Between that time he would make a few more animations, YTPs, and stop motion films (Most of which can actually be viewed on the "Archivum Massadonium", aka the latest Studio Massa channel created in September 8th, 2017 for archiving purposes).
archivummassadonium.png
However while we don't get to know too much of what he did while he was studying there, we do have video footage of him and his classmates in 2014; I presume performing a class project together in "MasterClass Image & Sound", whatever that entails.
You can see him at 11:07 in.
PreserveTube

As far as I'm aware, nobody has ever brought up this video. There are no soyteens in the comments leaving things like 'GEM' or 'ZWABAG', but I'm sure that will change soon enough. Following up on that, Sam has actually assisted in a stop motion assignment with other students on this channel from Reynaert Vosveld uploaded on June 28th, 2014.
PreserveTube

And on Feburary 3rd 2015, Sam would also animate a small video for the music group "New Challenge Let's Play".
PreserveTube

Which according to the description of the video:
New Challenge Let’s Play
New Zwolle music scene makes itself heard!

Zwolle has had its own music scene for several generations with many well-known Zwolle musicians and bands. A new generation of talented musicians is eager to take their place on the stages!

The band of New Challenge Let’s Play, consisting of eleven Zwolle musicians aged 13 to 19, is ready to let the audience hear what they can do! New Challenge Let’s Play consists of three female singers, a saxophonist, two guitarists, a pianist, a bassist who also plays the ukulele, an accordionist and no less than two drummers.

The NCLP 2015 animation film was made by Sam Tollenaar
It's a standard music group to help young kids become musicians looks like.

Both of these videos would be used for his showreel to promote his website on March 23rd 2015.
PreserveTube
His site looks pretty boring now, but looking through the archives you can see it was a lot more detailed and had a few links to other webpages.
massawebsite2.png
^This was from around 2017, https://web.archive.org/web/20170912053643/http://studiomassa.nl/

April 14th 2015 would be the start of his "voor idioten" series. This is most notable for being the main instigator behind the "G E K O L O N I S E E R D" meme that everyone in the Netherlands knows about.
PreserveTube
It wouldn't be until January 20th 2017 that the meme would kick off however.
PreserveTube
By April 2nd 2016, Sam would go onto creating a Discord account and create his main server hub dubbed "Massadonië" (link invite) on the same day. This would be were he would chat with his Dutch pals and do whatever else. There's a whole lot to the Discord I am sure would fill in a lot of blanks and add more detail to this post, but I have not bothered to delve too much into the exported chats back in February nor go through Sam's messages in Google Translate to find out.
1720747425429.png
November 2016, Sam creates this little video teaser for a comic festival called "Inktvingers" that was also posted on the main art website's channel (A).
PreserveTube
According to the website, it seems like a standard art meetup for people to concregate and showoff their artwork.
Nothing special, but actually ArtEZ uploaded a early concept animation of this video on their Vimeo channel (A).

https://ghostarchive.org/archive/tytsp
This was the video I saw posted on soyzellig that made me wonder what other details are out there online for Massa that we aren't aware yet? So I kept looking.
And sure enough I have found QUITE a bit of undoc'd info, and more we'll get to later.

February 8th 2017 was when Sam uploaded the first of his Stille Willem songs. Not much to say here, William van Oranj is a very important historical figure in Dutch history apparently and a lot of Dutchies like hearing him rap in a TTS voice.
PreserveTube

July 2017 is here, and graduation day is coming up. Sam has to make a film to pass, and the result is 't Histaurant: A time traveling, elastic waitress attempting to please a vegan.
PreserveTube

Interesting enough he uploaded the same video not just to his archive account, but also his Vimeo account which again I have heard no one bring up online yet.
I won't bother archiving the video since it's literally the same one above, but I have archived the video page and his channel page:

By this point, he was done. He graduated ArtEZ and got his degree or whatever. Now comes an onslaught of articles going over student talent.
I'll try to keep this brief since most of these articles don't say or give any meaningful insight into shit.
I'll first start off with this page since it actually came out on July 7th 2017, well before his video went up on either of his video platforms.
article1.png
I'll only copy and paste the title and section about Sam in English since I think that's fine for the most part.
Waitress retaliates against a vegan

The vegan in the animation ’ t Histaurant.
Sam Tollenaar

A waitress who goes crazy with a customer who insists on eating vegan. There are simpler topics for an animation. But animation designer Sam Tollenaar (Studio Massa) makes it beautiful. Also because the restaurant is not called ’ t Histaurant for nothing. The waitress can travel time so that she can get something tasty for him from another continent and another century. And, if the man is not satisfied despite all her efforts, go back to that time and place for appropriate revenge on this picky vegan. They are colorful cartoons in a clear style that are a bit on Futurama suggests the series of Simpsons creator Matt Groening. studiomassa.nl
article2.png
This one apparently talks about presentations by students who gave out "surprising graduation projects last year". Not sure if they're talking about the graduates from 2016 or the new ones for 2017.
This was apparently where the meetup was at.
bno1.png
bno2.png
Most notable thing about this article is that we have a new picture of Sam back in November 2017
sampresentation.jpeg

article3.png
Another whatever article, only note of interest is the small shoutout to Sam's project.

article4.png
What's interesting about this article, besides showing that they set up stands for kids to view the students' art projects, is that there's this other photo from a different angel that I couldn't find the origin of but I take it it must be from some other news article or from the art meetup.
unknown1.jpg
unknown2.png

But after all was said and done, he was finished. He graduated art school and got the experience of an animator. Now all he needed was a job and he was set. He went on Indeed* in 2018 and applied for a Job Op for a public broadcasting network and hoped he would get hired here shortly. But during that time, he also released a small indie animation in the same year on July 20th, 2018.
PreserveTube
*He talks about working at his Broadcasting job in this interview I posted in my previous OP, along with other details, but the way it's worded and translated and how the timeline is so far makes it look like it took months before he eventually got his job after dropping the first part of 'zellig. I'll say right now I could be misconstruing what he's saying so again, a Dutch translator here would be very appreciated.
1692811982320836.jpg
I won't go over the details of Ongezellig again, you have page 2 for that, but I'll keep it brief just to keep the timeline consistent.
On April 25th 2020, he announced he would set up a petje.af donation page (A) to help fund the show and if it has enough interest for a studio to greenlight it.
Preservetube
Rewards for donating to this are monthly drawings, update posts on the show, name in the end credits, Discord roles, secret dono livestreams to be with Massa during production or gaming, etc.
petjeaf1.png
Now despite 2020/2021 with the upraising of soyteens and /qa/, I do not think it ever had any affect on the production of the show other than mild annoyance for the Discord mods to deal with. This was also the time when Covid hit, so whether that had any positive or negative affect on the production itself I can't say. Maybe they talked about it in the Discord or petjeaf updates or something. But after 4 long years of putting Ongezellig together, update #129 came on the petjeaf page (A) stating that, despite not reaching the monetary goal to quit his job to work on the show, he will now focus on pitching the show to various studios to see if it will get picked up. And in the meantime he has set up a new petjeaf page for his main channel (A) instead; rewards include most of the previous ones for the Ongezellig page except for any show updates besides what's announced on his Discord.
English translation for Update #129:
update129.png
petjeaf2.png
After this point, not a whole lot happens. He still kept up with monthly drawings for patrons, he released a new Stille Willem song (A), and he was now in the process of making a Dutch History Iceberg video; even included a teaser on his archive channel (A) on September 9th 2023 before dropping it 6 months later on January 7th 2024 to his animation channel.
It was also in this video he advertises a new petjeaf (A) for getting the Iceberg posters and a Google Sheets explaining what each entry is. He includes a Questions & Answers Google Doc too that for some reason forbids you from copying and pasting the text. I can't download it either, so I have an attatched HTML file of the doc.
Iceberg Image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HqNTiqOl_283Ehwt4Ptr3vxJnJcHZoxq/edit
IJsberg.png
Unfortunately after that, on February 6th 2024, Update #130 on his petjeaf (A) for Ongezellig dropped. In it details how Sam has been experiencing major burnout from working at his job along with keeping up with the petjeaf rewards of streaming, monthly drawings and "far too labor-intensive leisure activities for years." He also states he doesn't want to keep everyone waiting on a "Half-Life 3-string" for many years to come and not live up to expectations. So as a result after years of work and life experience, Sam has made the difficult decision to halt pitching Ongezellig and stop with the monthly drawings and weekly streams. He also released the Google Drive to all his artwork and music.
English translation for #130:
update130.png

Now I've seen discussions about Massa dealing with some sort of illness that could be the cause of him possibly dying, but I can't find where these claims are made atm. I am however aware that he seems rather depressed and makes some allusions to dying young in the 40 minute lore call from the previous page here, especially near the end about 'becoming orphans one day'.

And as of this post, that's pretty much where we're caught up with in Sam's life and online space. But he mentions working a Public Broadcasting job as an animator. Where does he work exactly?

BNNVARA
PreserveTube
BNNVARA is a public broadcasting company in the Dutch. I don't think it's important to go over too much of what they are or do, but just know that these are apparently the companies/youtube channels that they own.
channels1.pngchannels2.png
Sam has mentioned working at a public broadcasting job in the interview image above, as well as a soyteen finding his work email under the title "sam.tollenaar@bnnvara.nl", and if you look in the description you will see a "Sam Tollenaar" credited for working on some of the animations in the above video by NPO 3, which is owned by BNNVARA I presume.
credits1.png
There are also these videos under the same channel that features the intro that looks like it was made by him:
PreserveTube 1
PreserveTube 2
Besides working for the NPO 3 channel, Sam also worked for BOOS, which judging from the YouTube channel description sounds like a leftoid libshit channel all about "muh progression" in the most faggy way possible.
You are being scammed. An influencer does not deliver your product. A slum landlord abuses the market and chases you for extra costs. You can be gay somewhere, but not act gay. Your boss intimidates you at work. A law needs to change that is in your way and your life. Things have to change. In short: you are angry! Then know where to find us, because we are happy to help you with big and small problems.

Also angry? Or do you want to blow the whistle? Email us at boos@bnnvara.nl!

Every Thursday at 4:00 PM on this channel.
But Sam has worked on a few documentaries from this channel, namely these 3:
PreserveTube
PreserveTube
PreserveTube
The description of the first video lists off Sam in the credits and at the end credits of the second one shows Sam's name as well as in this website for the film:
1720826578016.png
Third one doesn't credit the team directly, however I did find this article (A) that mentions Sam in the title for a "winning research" award.
winner1.png
Including this article (A) that talks about nominees for "De Loep" with the BOOS video included. I think it's a "journalistic integrity" award thing.
deloep.png
On top of that, here is a coworker of his named Lienke L. that mentions his name in a post on LinkedIn (A) for another BOOS video.
lienkel.png
PreserveTube

Now Lienke links to a bunch of different LinkedIn profiles on her post that goes over the team of BOOS, and I thought Sam didn't have a LinkedIn account there since she didn't tag it.
He actually does, he's just "almost never online". And because it's LinkedIn, I cannot archive it directly so screenshots will suffice.
samlinkedin1.png
He joined in June 2017
samlinkedin2.png
He has not made any posts on there.
samlinkedin4.png
These are all of his skillsets shown below
samlinkedin3.png
If you look back on his petjeaf announcement video for 'zellig, you will see the animation software UI matches up exactly with the one TVPaint uses.
tvpaint1.png
1720829335885.png
LinkedIn also let's you download a person's profile as a .pdf, but there's nothing interesting on there. I'll still upload it here on this post locally.

MISCELLANEOUS
These are details that I could not find an appropriate spot to fit in when writing out the timeline of events on Sam, so these will all go here.

PreserveTube
Through The Eyes of You is a 2019 graduation project animation by Laura van der Zee from ArtEZ. The reason why this is included is because "Sam Tollenaar" is listed as helping with the Sound Design of this film, but the date for this is a little strange since Sam graduated ArtEZ in 2017 and this is for 2019. So I'm unsure of this being a close friend Sam helped out with or if it was in production for a couple of years while Sam was in school still, I'm not sure.
He was also mentioned in this article (A) talking about the animation, again acredited as being the sound designer and sound post-processing (that's what Geluidsnabewerking means).
samsound.png

geboorte.png
PreserveTube
Likewise Sam made another animation with Reynaert (same one that made the stopmotion film together) on July 1st 2013 for 'Geboorte' by VPRO's 1 minute (A) in the description. I don't know what VRPO is sorry.

samsoundcloud.png
Around 2013, Sam made a SoundCloud account with its earliest tracks posted on May 4th 2013.
I'll repost them here for the sake of archiving

In the 40 minute call, he mentions how he had a cat growing up who got cancer and had to be euthanized. He also had a pet zebravink named Klootzak.
He died on October 27th 2022 and was used in one of his Stille Willem raps.
PreserveTube
He does have a new cat as shown near the end of his Dutch Iceberg video.

After Ongezellig concluded, Sam put out a Apple Music and Spotify page for the end credits theme titled "Ik Ben Het Maar". You can consider this another way to donate to him, since he's also included the music track for free in the Google Drive link above.
Apple Music (A)

samcommunity.pngsamcommunity2.png
He made a few community posts on his animation channel. Not much to be noted here besides shilling his donation page and bringing up takedown notices for his 2010 channel.

samspreadshirt.png
Speaking of donos, after the success of Stille Willem and GEKOLONISEERD blowing up, he put up a myspreadshop.nl page to get t-shirts and mugs of his Voor Idioten characters sold to any interested Dutch customers.

artezexpo.png
On July 5th 2017, ArtEZ put out this .pdf going over student works and talking about the art exhibition coming up that day at Grote Kerk. Not a whole lot to it, Sam only gets a small spotline in the 'Animation Design" section on the last page. 'finalskrant' .pdf attached below this post
samexpo.png

samrocket.png
I found this site called RocketReach that looks up on anyone who has a LinkedIn page. This was where I 'found out' Sam went to Lyceum Schondein at the beginning of this post, however I can't say whether or not this info is 100% accurate. Lyceum is a secondary school in Roermond where Massa was born and grew up in, and the date would place him at 13 years old at the time of entering secondary school. But there's no other source to back this and his LinkedIn doesn't state his education. It also mentions him being a "Stagiair" (Eng: Intern or Trainee) at Frame Order, but again I haven't seen anyone ever bring this detail up in his life. So take what's said here with a grain of salt.

Besides the unlisted 't Histaraunt video, he has these two videos that are unlisted. I found these from soyzellig, and the Mayo video was also uploaded to archive.org but for some reason the sausage guy's mouth is animated on there and not on Sam's channel.

I didn't know where to fit these videos since no date was given on the Internet Archive (although my guess is that it's sometime after the irl Fukushima Meltdown on March 11th, 2011), but here we see Sam perform in a band with some other mates.

END
And that's it so far. This post wasn't meant to document anything funny if there was, but acts as hub to detail what Sam's life was like online before and after Ongezellig. As for what Sam is doing right now, his petjeaf for his channel states a new Stille Willem video will come out sometime this summer.

When Deel 6 and the whole short film concluded, Sam drew out some "thank you" art of the girls with their VAs. So far only Maya's VA Robin was fine with sharing this to the public.

I have not seen Joyce (Mymy), Merel (Coco), or Kayleigh (Vera) posted anywhere if there was.

Another fun fact is that at the time of Maya's Sweet 16's release, Sam had a separate page on his site where you could order your copy of the comic, but it's dead now and the wayback machine never archived it. http://www.studiomassa.nl/ms16.html

For some reason I can't reply directly, but what's the private video in Colon Capital V's write up?
