In my sincere opinion, all people had to do was not reply to that "Wokot" post. The best way to "hurt" these "individuals" is by obscurity and isolation. Nothing hurts a genderspecial than being left with 0 likes and 0 views. It's a passive way of making them learn and understand that not everybody supports them without getting your hands dirty with hundreds of posts in autistic twitter slapfights.
Besides, it's not like Godot is a proprietary software. It's pretty lightweight, and you can make you game run on potato PCs with enough optimization. I have no twitter anymore so I completely missed all of this.
Also, Cyberchud was pretty fucking good.
It's a shame that most rightoids would rather whine and grift about how libshits ruin everything (and they do) instead of actually coding, drawing, animating, or creating their own original IPs. Like, no shit everything is 'woke', at least the woke ones aren't lazy. They spend time creating something new even if they don't appeal to everybody.

The Godot Foundation is weird. All of the board members except a few, own corporations that attempt to commercialize Godot. I'm not too familiar with these foundations that manage open-source software but you would think that having a majority of your board members be independent would be better. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to change the license in the future to make more money and i don't think this project can survive without them.

Creating things doesn't justify being a faggot and censoring people and existing properties. The contention here isn't whether wokefags pump out games or not.

Forking, while entertainingly pot stirring, is a futile effort. Like all game engines Godot is a complicated mess that only a handful of people genuinely understand. I can't even reason about my own game engine in it's entirety, I have to context switch between different subsystems. They're not going to jump in and suddenly finish the Vulkan renderer or whatever. Personally I'm uninterested in Godot because of it's poor HTML5 support. Good HTML5 support is way more important for an indie engine than fucking muh Vulkan global illumination or whatever Juan is working on instead of polishing existing functionality.
Godot isn't particularly good at anything. It's especially not something you'd use for resource heavy games. Cruelty Squad ran like omega-trash despite being very low poly, blame the developers for "not optimizing" but I'm sure if you just built out those levels in Unreal it'd have layers of occlusion culling and LoD behind the scenes that Godot simply does not have. It's an open secret that the Godot developers basically run a porting cartel. Other engines and frameworks, even FOSS ones (like SDL) will just give you that shit for free/included with proof of NDA. You do the math and Unreal engine is actually cheaper than Godot assuming you want to port to console.
Godot should have hyper focused on 2D/HTML5/Mobile. Don't forget that Unity really gained popularity because it was the easiest way to make iPhone games. They put mobile support first. Godot should have put HTML5 support first. Meanwhile HTML5 supported is treated as practically legacy, with a whopping 10MB overhead for an empty project.

Well, Ryujinx is in a pretty good state that a lot of new games just work without fixes. Though out of luck if the new Mario and Luigi RPG comes out and doesn't work out of the box. The important thing is the MIT licensed source code itself didn't have any actual legal action taken against it outside of gdkchan voluntarily ceasing development and deleting the repo. So people are free to continue working on it so long as they don't get big enough to draw Nintendo's ire all over again. (Patreon, money involved, etc.) But I don't anticipate many competent people to take this up. All the heavy hitting code contributors to Ryujinx have more or less noped out.
I think the real takeaway is this effectively scares off current Switch emulation devs from working on Switch 2 emulation.

Some updates on the Godot Engine/Redot Engine drama. A possible reason for the lack of meaningful Github activity for Redot Engine may be that it hasn't officially launched yet. I've been checking their socials and they have been setting up multiple communities since the fork was announced on September 27th. According to the devs, the fork will officially launch this Friday. Whether this means they have already made meaningful changes or that they will simply start accepting push requests remains to be seen.
They are openly unsupportive of Godot's decision to double down on the drama.
Even before this statement, however, the rabid faggots who support Godot's stance on faggotry were already libeling the engine and it's creators as "homophobic". There was some pushback from level-headed individuals, but as we all know, that doesn't stop these freaks.
Today, those same faggots raided Redot Engine's communities, mainly their Discord, for refusing to bend the knee to them and focusing on the engine instead.
Redot responded, saying they were going to recruit more moderators that would be heavily vetted and moderated by the dev team themselves to prevent this from happening again.
So far that's it. I'm going to keep an eye on this because I have a genuine interest in the project as a former Godot enjoyer myself (read: dumbfuck who doesn't have time to make his own engine and doesn't want to pay for one ever). I will also give Redot a shot for a few days once it releases on Friday and might give a rundown of any changes made (and if there are any at all) and how it compares to Godot, if I'm not beaten to the punch by someone else.

I’m still running whatever version of Yuzu I installed via Emudeck on my steam deck a few months before they got taken down. It works for now, but I should probably look into changing it.
