Yeah this is getting way too much. To take it to the tech forum. This is for FOSS dramz and bureaucratic ongoing. It's not a chat room.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Just use ffplay. No interface at all. But it works with keybinds still.A real video player takes the file name as argument. There is no play control, it starts playing it as soon as it is run and the initialization is done. It exits(0) when the video ends. There is no pause functionality, it's bloat. If you really need to, just attach a debugger and pause the process.

The argument of emacs and vim will never go anywhere because nobody uses emacs in 2025stop arguing about controls on the video vs. controls under the video
it is like big endian vs. little endian or emacs and vim, the argument will never ever go anywhere
Here's the whole thing if you don't want to sift through the lunduke video. (A)To add a little tech drama.
Looks like lunduke just talked about KDE releasing a statement saying everyone using Twitter is a Nazi. So basically just agreeing with the GNOME people.
Idk I'm happy just using hyprland. I think tiling is a better way of using your computer once you get used to running things from keybinds. Plus I can avoid any of these projects. Since I was already avoiding them because I think they suck, and the reasons people like replicating the windows workflow, is because that's what they already know.
No X under social media.

Hi,
We stopped posting on X for several reasons:
1. The owner is a nazi
2. The owner censors non- nazis and promotes nazis and their messages
3. (Hence) most people who remain on X or are clueless and have difficulty
parsing written text (one would assume), or are nazis
4. Most of the new followers we were getting were nazi-propaganda spewing bots
(7 out of 10 on average) or just straight up nazis.
Our community is not made up of nazis and many of our friendly contributors
would be the target of nazi harassment, so we were not sure what we were doing
there and stopped posting and left.
We are happy with that decision and have no intention of reversing it.
Cheers
Paul

,,This is simply too much''Yeah this is getting way too much. To take it to the tech forum. This is for FOSS dramz and bureaucratic ongoing. It's not a chat room.
if KDE goes full ham on wayland could there be another fork? Wasn't someone working on a fork to remove wayland support? In other non-soydev words, "if you use X (Formerly Twitter), you're a heckin' Nazi and shouldn't be allowed to use KDE software!"
Well then they'll be ecstatic when I'd use KDE with XLibre and a non-fucked version of KWin that isn't reliant on wayland to work as it did in previous versions then.
That's interesting, considering Tyson Tan, the man who designed KDE's current mascot, still uses x.com.

tbh this guy seems like a shitass "community" nigger and he has never actually contributed anything of value, and probably couldn't link you to the plasma repos if you gave him 30 minutes to find themThat's interesting, considering Tyson Tan, the man who designed KDE's current mascot, still uses x.com.

Damn, I guess the KDE guys oughta go tell their furry chinaman he's now a nazi! What a world. Surely, they're gonna take down the mascot and disavow Mr. Tyson for his fascism, right?

did you guys see the post where people (and also a kiwi farms moderator) asked to turn this thread back into the "open source jannies sperging out" thread and not the "proprietary software being proprietary software" thread-snip-
To defend Theo here, the software he recommended in place of VLC, IINA, is a (mac only, he likes to recommend mac only software and this has bitten him in the ass before, see Arc Browser) free video player built on mpv https://github.com/iina/iina No idea why he said "they're both powered by ffmpeg" when IINA doesn't advertise this and only seems to rely on ffmpeg insofar as it's built on mpv.Vic has sub par Color rendering but I've heard people shit on it for years with extreme prejudice because it looks worse than media players you have to install codecs for. But... like... that's the whole point
Let me guess... it just doesn't use ffmpeg
Why does everything have to be a "community", lol? It seems like it has only downsides. My computer is an appliance like anything else in my house. I am glad that the engineers of my Maytag washer and dryer do not have to hang around a bunch of smelly creeps trying to 'make the washing machine community more welcoming'tbh this guy seems like a shitass "community" nigger
remember: mac-only software is effectively proprietary because it assumes you have a fucking m*c(mac only, he likes to recommend mac only software and this has bitten him in the ass before, see Arc Browser)
transitive dependencies are still dependenciesNo idea why he said "they're both powered by ffmpeg" when IINA doesn't advertise this and only seems to rely on ffmpeg insofar as it's built on mpv.
free software is frequently fully open to development by anybody in the world who is able to write a patch. (but not always! some projects don't accept contributions if you violate their 400 page long community code of conduct and some others don't accept them at all. they still qualify as free software though because you can make and share your own patches without involving the original authors. (see: xlibre and any fork of anything really)) this is a good thing, because any random retard with sufficient autism can improve the software, and not only for himself, but for anybody else who uses itWhy does everything have to be a "community", lol?
Mea culpa. As a token of forgiveness, please accept Francis' latest autistic sperging:snip
I wonder if he's ever going to be able to say Negerschwanz-lutschende Schwuchteltranse without having to stop, take a deep breath, and repeat. My boy's most recent ADHD fried dopamine tranny distraction is learning German.
