I enjoyed that too. He starts by saying that some people might get offended by viewpoints being expressed, like large corporations, and the idiot who suggests the changes in the first place agrees with him. Because he didn't think about what was being said, he just saw someone agreeing that if anyone is offended then it should be removed and didn't bother, or care, what the example was.
I don't even think hmdne needed to be more subtle. Even when later someone asks who protected groups would be in terms of taking offence and he suggests CEOs and board members of large corporations, it's still ignored that all these attempts to weaponise taking offence can, will and have been used by the exact people they're meant to be actively against.
But then, I'd bet the dad joke that started it wasn't ever complained about, just a white knight saw it and decided to take offence on behalf of all women, with the consequences being, as always, tightening restrictions on speech.
