Zero direction on the actual engine. It's all bikeshedding. I didn't realize GitHub CI was so hard to setup considering they can just copy-paste from Godot. Apparently the basic bullshit is this month long Manhattan-Project-Battlestar-Galactica endeavor. None of these things block development, it's just excuses.

How embarrassing.

I've had the exact same thought. "No #off-topic channel, dox yourself and you're banned, say anything related to politics vaguely and you're banned, etc."

I think a big problem with this is that what motivates a lot of top contributors is a sense of belonging in a "community." They're motivated to do good work, because they want to win the approval of other people who they know to have done good work, and they know to be virtuous somehow.

It's definitely not good for the individual - it's not a community, just a simulacrum of one. In a real community, when your house burns down, those around you can provide. In extreme cases these people begin to act like they belong to a small village that exports FOSS, as if the social connections that they've forged within the simulacrum are the only thing standing between life and death for them. Totally hijacked monkey brain.

Hobby software is always going to select for people who are obsessive and socially retarded. There are plenty of people who are competent and not insane, but they are all getting paid to write software somewhere and don't have time to become a top contributor to some random open source project. In the absence of monetary compensation, all that's left is upcummies. If you ban upcummies, no one will contribute to your project.

Unless the exported .pck file that comes with the game is encrypted, any armless joe can just extract the .pck file, open the project with Godot, and do fuck all with the pride flag.
Besides, why give a fuck? It's not like the people commenting on the gayshit game developer plays gayshit games to begin with, stop giving free advertisement to people.

sounds to me it was yet another failed marketing stunt by a complete retard. Much like that guy that ranted about key resellers and made a whole video about him buying back all of his game's keys. The game, at time of the video coming out, has about 8 concurrent players and 3 reviews.

Modding this game. Shoot, look at the guy who made the “UNPIRATABLE” game.

It wouldn’t be pirated or modded if no one knows your game and no one buys your game.
