Yes, it is about laws, however the second half of the quote is "Why should this be illegal except mindless religion?". I know you're allergic to full quotes but that is in my post (by itself even, so it shouldn't trigger your allergies) on top of being linked. Earlier I had given an example of a reason to ban bestiality I thought was better than "mindless religion". I think creating demand for content that does hurt animals is both a better reason than religion and a good reason to make it illegal. I was simply being clear about the reason I was referencing. This isn't that hard to follow because there's all of seven posts total but I guess it is for you. Addressing the "Why should this be illegal except mindless religion?" part this is clearly asking for a better reason to ban something than religion. There are of course better arguments including that it increases demand for content that includes harming animals which I am sure he would consider if they were brought up.

He was commenting on banning laws against sex with animals. Is "sex practices that don't physically hurt the animal" really the hill you want to die on when arguing if bestiality should be illegal? At no point have *I* argued anything about the legality of bestiality. If you must know I think it should be illegal for several reasons including the reason *I* gave as a possible better-than-religion argument.

I suspect one reason why this is hard is because if you are going to spend hundreds or thousands of hours developing anti-woke software, you probably want to be able to put it on a resume. But if you do that, that would be career suicide, since the entire technology industry is infected with the woke mind virus. So you have to do it anonymously and not put it on a resume.

That is a disadvantage that transgender people do not have. They can put their woke software on a resume and still be able to be employable for the rest of their lives. Unless they are unemployable because of their illnesses, in which case they have the time to do it anyways.

Despite that... it seems critical to develop foss non-woke alternatives. Please bring back the kiwifarms git repository!

No one will ever spend hundreds of thousands of hours creating something out of spite; productivity comes from a desire to build, not a desire to show someone else up or prove an ideology. There's way too much doomerposting over politics that aren't actually affecting anything.

You could argue "the woke" is just a factor or some point in a timeline, but not entirely unimportant. With the benefit of hindsight it's easy to look at gamings past and identify some of the elements that turned things to shit, but back then we had no idea

That was a different time when money was cheap and plentiful, where "bring your whole self to work" ruled, when hiring trannies were more important than building a competent team, and when it was more important to be against trump and right-wingers than actually making a profit. A lot of people worked at google when he did and many many of them are very senior engineers in those companies they moved to.
There is pretty much a "major red flag!" alert in every single potential company that he might approach.

I think he will just leave the industry and go on the conference tour to give speeches, a lot of conferences are still very tranny/activist
