Does Qemu support adkustable screen resolution?
Like in Vmware where the screen of the guest os fits in the window?
I don't think so. If you're using Windows 10 as the guest you can get it to work, but otherwise I don't know how.

Never played with Qemu, since I used Vmware. Does Qemu support adkustable screen resolution?

Yes, if you get it to use SPICE.

I liked that Vmware/Virtual Box has native CPU performance.
So does Qemu if you use -enable-kvm.

Well, I am sold. I will experiment with it in the future, since I am uncertain with the fate of Vmware. Vmware has been bought by Broadcom and they don't have good reputation.
Are you a windows user?

Qemu is a command line utility. It is the hypervisor and it is way more advanced than anything you will find in VirtualBox (which is pretty shit) or VMWare (which is less shit)
but at the end of the day it is a command line utility.
You normally will not access qemu directly, since is it VERY complex, so you usually will use it via an abstraction layer and a management interface.
These are called libvirt and virt-manager respectively.

I am not sure if libvirt(the abstraction layer) or virt-manager(the GUI frontend) are ported to windows or not.
But anyway, you need all three: qemu libvirt andvirt-manager

Qemu is lightyears ahead of anything else when it comes to capabilities but you will not have a good time using it raw on the command line.
(You want to create a NUMA machine with 4 sockets, 3 pci busses populated with various emulated cards and a handful of NVMe devices and also say a handful of network cards of different types, you also want to passthrough and share your GPU with the virtual machine. Also for CPU you want big endian aarch64. Yep, qemu can do that. Do you want to create the command line by hand to describe the entire pci bus device tree? NO you do not.)

Me last night: "I will go searching for a UI library that best suits my needs"

Github repo: *Giant Israeli flag*

When did open source just become a soap box for whoever leads the project? Sad thing is it's probably the best library choice, *sigh*
Link to the repo? I am curious.
I agree with you, it is cringe shoving politics, even right wing ones.

The only politics I want in a repo is an overt anti-censorship position because it's actually relevant. I want to know that you aren't going to blacklist me 4 years into my project for a joke or a political reference in a creative work. Knowing that the guy who wrote the lib included on line 74 of my package-lock.json supports current thing or is trying to get me involved in a conflict taking place literally on the other side of the world only serves to piss me off.

New chapter in the Stallman Report saga: after overwhelming evidence surfacing pointing at well-known internet tough guy Drew DeVault being behind the report (either as its author or key contributor, given the draft being hosted on his very own website) and no response to the allegations despite remaining active online, the Stallman Report Mastodon account has unsheathed the next weapon every fraudster in the open source community resorts to: alleged death threats (direct link, archive). By going through multiple trigger-warnings, one can see the threat in question:

The author(s) behind the report take the opportunity to remind us of the following:
Stallman must go. [2/3]
Drew spent no time waiting to boost the aforementioned Mastodon thread, approximately 10 minutes after it was posted.

Only one? Did Drew send that threat to himself?

Convenient how he censored the supposed sender so nobody can do any research in to whoever it could be. In all likelihood it is just some random fag who wants to stir the pot and isn't actually a part of the FSF or a Stallman defender.

Reminder to everybody that we have a lolcow thread on Drew DeVault, make sure to post things there now that it's basically 100% confirmed he wrote the Stallman Report.

In other news, some retarded company that sells shitty Clevo laptops is pissed at the coreboot community. It all started with good intentions, namely them wanting to create a Coreboot port for their laptop.
However, after trying to get free gibs from various Coreboot consulting agencies and "totally doing 80% of the needed work guise", they have decided to give up and ban any country involved in the mess. They no longer ship to Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Poland. Since they were too chickenshit to ban the US, they opted to ban the state of Texas instead.

Oh, also one of the guys they talked with is on AMD's payroll, so ban the entire company too for good measure.

Death threat exhibitionism is always pointless because:
- There's no way a large group of people (like people supporting Stallman for any reason) can restrictively controll all its members to prevent them from sending even a single disparaging message
- These threats literally never result in anything IRL
- They don't actually feel threatened by these messages because they know it
- Anyone voicing any opinion on the internet gets such "death threats" on a regular basis
- There's no way to prove they didn't just write that themselves in notepad
- It doesn't follow that this would be something that Stallman supports, despite their comments suggesting that (it's nonsensical)

Looks like this company is quite something as they have already banned California. Also dont dare to use Google or Apple in any form to access their sites. Graciously they allow De-Googled forks of Chrome. :)
