The pfp and banner of the Xitter GNOME account feature a flag with color patterns similar to those of the MAP flag, I bet this is not a coincidence!

This is a bit of a stretch. It's just colours, and not even the right ones. This is, in my opinion, close to par with the trannies that decide their favorite fictional character is secretly gender special because part of their color palette sort of almost overlaps with one of the kajillion tumblr fag flags.

There is no point speculating about who is doing it because, like DDOS attacks, anybody can create thousands of Matrix accounts and spam CSAM.

The first waves all came from only one specific German hosted matrix homeserver.
They could have simply stopped federating with that one.

Yet, they didn't do that.

You can yourself try to run a matrix server and use it to spam based & redpilled takes on gnome matrix. I can promise you that you will hit a wall pretty fast and that even if you spend money and buy more domains, they would rather put federation on whitelist-servers only, than allowing even 5min of your takes.

The utter incompetency of dealing with the CSAM is what is astonishing here.

I predict the following:

This will not go away now, but will become more widely discussed during the next week or so.
The usual suspects will attempt to suppress this story while calling everyone who discusses it a nazi and crying about xlibre
The heat will reach a point where canonical will have to let the nonce go. He will claim to be leaving to protect his employer or because his presence is a distraction to their work <-- YOU ARE HERE
The fact of his noncery will become so widely known that he is unemployable
The usual suspects will try to spin this into stories about a "hate campaign", which will require them to defend a literal child rapist yet again
At least one other major figure will burn down their career trying to defend the indefensible (hopefully "ariadne", but I'll also accept drew devault or hector "asahi lina" cantero)
The narrative will nevertheless be formed that a Wayland dev was driven out of the community by a hate mob, even though the nonce never worked on Wayland.
