I don't care which one is correct, I pronounce all three of the above as the individual letters, because it sounds better to me.

Me, I call it NOO or NEW as the animal gnu is called.
stallman claims the 'G' is pronounced because ItSACTualLYAnABBrevIAtion.
but stallman has no saying on this because he is impartial.
for example, when gnu is used with linux, he wants it called gnu+linux
but what about the case when I use gnu via msys2 on windows? shouldn't it be called gnu+microsoft?

same as gnome, gimp, they are full words, down to every letter, so they are pronounced as the words are pronounced.

anyway, one of the best one is
EINE and ZWEI
EINE is one in german (eye-neh)
and ZWEI is 2 in german (z is as ch in chair and the w are pronounced as v)
so, EINE is Eine Is Not Emacs
then they forked ENEI I think and they called it ZWEI
and ZWEI stands for Zwei Was Eine Initially which always makes me giggle because it sounds like "2 was 1 initially"

now THAT is a smart recursive abbreviation that stallman wished he had at least 2 more braincells to avoid using gahnoo

Worst one for me is SCSI -> scuzzy, it sounds like some kind of a slur or a synonym for whore and I was so confused when I heard it pronounced for the first time

i don't know why but this word brings out the most primitive feral retard in people, it's wild. the first one is right btw, don't @ me.

I pronounce it "nginks", with the "ng" at the start pronounced like it is at the end of a word.
