The Opera GX Grift needs to stop. These people are trying so hard to pander to Coomer gamer types, and it's so cringey and does not hide the fact that it's a Chinese spyware clone of Google Chrome that feels like speaking a foreign language with its ugly side bar. The only valid reason to use Opera is if you're a starving African with slow internet and need their CDN, or if you're a poorfag running Opera Mini. Other than that, it's trash.

It's actually kind of spyware in a way (more-of). I was watching a video about this, actually. Opera/Opera GX is based in Norwegia. However, it's parent company, Kunlun Tech, is registered in China. China holds a lot of data, which they can use to watch people. Keep in mind on their Opera Privacy statements, it also says that they will collect any information related to people, like IP addresses, device IDs, advertising IDs, and location.

When you install Opera GX, it makes 83 unsolicited requests. (Source) Some of these requests, request your geolocation:

Anytime you visit a website, Opera will make a request like this to check if it is malicious. So it is literally spying on your whole browsing history (This can be turned off in the settings with "Privacy & Security" → "Privacy" → "Protect me from malicious sites"):

...and not to mention it speed-dails with partners (booking.com, ebay, amazon and a couple of others) and is not open source for either of the browsers.

Chromium browsers already delete history after 90 days. Not 14 and it doesn't trigger on disuse, but that seems good enough. This also seems to be that Coomers are too dumb just to use a private window.
 
I never get this idea of people actually leaving NSFW items in their history.
You'd assume everyone who has something embarassing to hide would open it in the incognito mode equivalent that I'd assume every browser from the common to the rare CLI one comes bundled with.
 
I sure can't wait for the chinks behind this to get hacked and all the user data they have been harvesting with their proprietary spyware comes out.

Not like niggercattle will learn thier lesson and avoid shitty meme "privacy" software that is closed source regardless.

opera gx is still chink spyware and i will never install it, even if they 100% open sourced it due to their immense tranny love

Terminal coomers have accounts on porn sites they don't want to have to log back into every time they need to coom (once per hour). Plus a lot of people don't even know about incognito.

I do almost everything in it just out of principle. The only time I use normal tabs is when I want auto fill to work.
