Can't say I'm surprised with the ruling. Given the situation (i.e. scheduling) of the courts and all. I am a tad disappointed about the events though. Thought for sure Chris would have acted out or something. At least it's good to know he's still wearing that getup in public.

One can still only wonder at this point not whether Chris will be sentenced (that's kinda guaranteed). But instead how he'll be sentenced, and how he'll fuck up the next court meeting.

Ramm said something about they had the wrong kind of lawyer, since Chris relies on ma for everything would there be some kind of paperwork that Barb was most likely in charge of that landed them with the wrong PD?

I'm not sure there's such a thing as a "wrong PD". I may be wrong, but I think you get who you're assigned unless you have some strange reason for not wanting that particular PD.

I think we've just got an issue of mishearing. I'm sure there will be a FB post bitching about lawyers soon enough that will clear all of this up.

Looks like you're forgetting something, we're talking about Chris here so there's no such thing as common sense, with that in mind, I'm sure a MALE PD would actually be a problem to Chris.

Oh that could absolutely have been the issue. And from the description that Zeonista gives, it sounds almost like the PDs were lined up like a bunch of prossies for Chris to take his pick. Except he was denied even this fundamental choice! He was assigned a MALE lawyer at hearing! (AMLAH for you tumblrites)

JERKS are taking all the pretty PDs and leaving none for him to choose from! And it's all because of the Infintely High Defender Factor!

Ten to one he takes a swing at the baliff or yells "Curse-ye-ha-me-ha!" at the judge at that April 2nd hearing.

Thought for sure Chris would have acted out or something.

Chris only acts out if he thinks he can get away with it, hence his spontaneous "unlawful gas release" back at GameStop that the video clearly shows comes after Chris thinks he can make a clean getaway and only even then attacks somebody within range.

Otherwise, he's a huge coward, always has been. He was pretty cocky during the hearings for the GamePlace with such insightful commentary on Snyder getting red cents and other lovely things, but he also still delegated everything to his mother. I don't think he truly even understood how much trouble he was in until after the proceedings were over and the ruling was in favor of Snyder.

Props to Zeonista for giving their quick report, as it's evident from just a partial recounting of OPL's behavior everything Chris hoped for has fallen through. His mother still handled the paperwork evidently, except apparently she filed the wrong ones, and their relationship is even more increasingly distant than ever before if he's chiding her with her full name now as if she was more the child than he.

Most importantly, however, is that sigh at the end. Chris actually comprehends in some form or another that he is not getting off lightly anymore, at least not by shoving any and all paperwork handling on his mother like last time.

Anyways, since the next one is on April 2, do you think there is a chance Chris would do something stupid in the weeks between February and April because as far as I remember, a few days after a being detained by police last December, he trespasses into Wal-Mart with the same pepper-spray he used in the GameStop incident and made a scene there.

[QUOTE="Rammspieler, post: 527502, member: 2044"But yep. It was continued until Feb 2nd. From what I understood, apparently they hired the wrong type of lawyer is he didn't have time to prepare the case. They might have even hired him that very morning.[/QUOTE]

And the Good Luck Fairies swoop in once again to save Chris' big fat butt for another day.

If the PA is going to delve into Chris' past history, he's going to need more than two months, AND a case of whiskey.

And I'm sure Chris will come home and post a Facebook about how his day was forced to be wasted by The Man again.

Honestly I don't know what you guys were really expecting. Continuances are super common and are granted for just about everything. From what i have seen the only chance of a non-continuance would have been because of a plea deal. It's very likely that part of the reason for the continuance was to give time for the state and Chris to potentially discuss one.
