Has anyone ever done an oral history of anybody?

I just have done one of my mom's mother (89) and my Dad's father (83). I have so far learned about all kinds of things, to what it was like when Pearl Harbor happened, living through WWII and great depression and civil rights movements among other things.

I wonder if there is any special technique you guys have done or have in mind?

Id love to one day do a slideshow of old pictures from 40s-70s of my grandparents with their voices interspesed with the pictures.

Has anyone done this or know how to?

I just think it is very important to get recordings of greatest generationers before they pass on.

I haven't done an oral report since elementary school.

Also lol "Greatest Generationers" makes me lol endlessly.
