I have been trying to find the origin of Jaffa calling. Earliest posting we can find of it Is from July 6th 2009 on /b/. Thats Three whole years before the Trayvon Martin court skype memery. That is already going going back really far but this image has stuck in my mind for so long I simply must find out more about its origins. Please I need to know more about this image. Where did it come from, Where did it go, Who is this man, Cotton eye Joe?

But that has nothing to do with the origin. There is a confectionery in britain called the Jaffa cake That was invented in 1927....altough the picture seems to be a bit more modern than 1920's photography.
