Overwatch

Getting hard stunned feels bad man. Losing total control of your character is just being dead but with an extra step. Glad it's minimized but clearly Mei needs more work. I haven't been a fan of the endless Symmetra redesigns either, she used to be an underrated god-tier DPS but in tweaking the shield and teleport they ruined turrets and the beam. Symbolic of the whole game at large I'd say.

Just give her the TF2 pyro airblast secondary - it would tie in a lot better with her "kind of control/defensive" toolkit.

Also it's funny that a lot of characters are still kind of "I don't know what to do with them" even after the "official release".

Butchered her because babies people couldn't handle being frozen. She has worst dps than most of the other dps so the one thing that made her unique is now gone.
Ironically, I was getting my ass handed to me in a match the other day as DPS and I switched to Mei and started wrecking shit. Her M1 definitely deals more damage and the slow fucks up squishier heroes like Genji pretty well still. The key to playing Mei for me was always to try and use her ice wall to isolate weaker targets and pick them off one by one since her gun sucks the moment you have to try and hit more than one target.

Sombra on the other hand feels even less useful despite them adding damage to her ult and letting her hack while cloaked. I feel like any time I would want to use her I'd do better just picking someone like Tracer.

That said, what the FUCK did they do to Doomfist? He was always a very niche pick as a DPS but as a tank he's just worthless. His mitigation is the worst of any tank and his skills all have the stopping power of a pool noodle.

I'm already bored of this game lmao.

I'm a low Master player, so it's not coming from a place of being shit and not knowing what's going on (I leave those feelings for Splatoon), but mostly because I don't feel like I'm playing a video game at times.

The Dailies/Weeklies are exactly the same as the previous ones, so there's no variety to what is being asked of me, and this is only in service of gaining exp for a battle pass I don't plan on paying for.

There's no levelling system with free loot boxes, no currency, not really a lot for me to work towards, so when the Cyberpunk skins everyone thought would at least partially be in the pass actually show up in the store for $20 next to a $75 bundle of 4 x 4 year-old Halloween skins, I just kind of tune the fuck out.

If they want to go the F2P model they need to actually understand what makes Fortnite and APEX so successful, because I'd be shocked if their store is selling anywhere remotely close to expectations right now.

I don't disagree with your assessment but sadly you have to consider that Diablo Immortal (a much worse game) made $100,000,000 inside of 2 months.

Blizzard has enough paypigs for OW2 to make piles of cash still and that's clearly what they're hoping to exploit by rushing OW2 out the door. The "really expensive" skins and cosmetics were almost certainly run through a calculated Cost/Benefit analysis where they knew it will be the "correct" price point for a majority of their whales to jump on (and why not? The game is FREEEE).

I'm sure that OW2 is underperforming in a lot of key areas (customer happiness, retention, press coverage, content creator free advertising, etc) but financially I'm sure it's doing gangbusters for Blizzard - doubly so because it basically cost them nothing to make OW2 (they recycled characters, skins, servers, accounts, and everything from OW1).

Real kicker here is that the whole point of overwatch 2 was the pve/single player. It's nowhere in sight. They seen immortal make them that sweet cash and they wanted more. All there is to it. Blizzard doesn't give a single shit about the players, their legacy or the integrity of their games. Maybe this will change when microsoft buys them? Something to cope with at least.

Im was never really that heavy in to OW when it first launched. As a comp FPS player i loved the shit out of games like R6, TF2, CS:GO. The impact you could have as an individual was just insane rounds could be won or lost from your plays alone. Thus the adernaline you got from doing sick plays was unmatched. While overwatch seemed... seemed like such a white washed version of TF2. Seems like most of the characters you could play while being completly braindead like Mercy, Solider 76 and Lucio and 200 ultimates every round turned the game in to a stalemate snoozefest where you as an individual didn't really matter.

While now? I actually think its a lot better. 5vs5 and reduced ultimates makes it so you actually have to think when to ult and makes it a bit more worth it to play like your ingame life means something. Set roles is kind of a mixed bag, feels like they didn't really think that one trough. Torbjörn and old bastion just dosen't really fit most objectives.
Things i like about OW2:
The brawlier more fastpaced style is more fun to play.
Tanks actually feel like tanks now.

Mixed bag:
The removal of CC made it so a lot characters feel flatter. Tracer now feels like a fucking peashooter and its a lot harder to get those 200 health supports while you can live pretty much forever. Mcrees magnade is really fun to use.

Things i dislike:
The social features are entierly gone Stuff like endcards to show who did what and instead we got endrossment which mean nothing and do nothing execpt giving the player 500 battlepass xp. So fucking stupid sometimes you want to show a good tank/healer apperception and you can't. Sometimes there is a sick Hanzo in the enemey team and alll i can say is NS in the chat. Counterstrike and R6 are full of people who smack talk and do call outs and meanwhile OW even in comp is just dead.

The newer characters are dull personality wise, just seem to be slap on an ethnicity and call it a day. Sojurn just seems like a better more, fun 76 and while we are on the topic powercreep.
The new progression system. The overwatch comunity was one of the most braindead ones on the web yet blizzard found a way to even piss them off. Like holy shit here is a revulotional idea keep the pity boxes and add the battle pass on top. Nobody would have given a fuck, BPS are in every single game now days anyway.

I was about to lose my mind when you said tanks feel like tanks. Do you mean that they take a lot of damage while outputting a metric heap ton, while running down the backline? If not, I've no words. I can't be bothered to play my main role, support, after being on both sides of the equation. Zarya and D.va make zero sense as to why they can get away with murder for free. This dumb balance is the same as OW1, frustrating but it just so happens to feel a bit better when the feces is flying towards my face.

100 million in 2 months is a huge number, but given how much money other mobile games make pretty meh. this was also for launch, given there are stats for mobile it should be easy to figure out how much money it made since then (cba to look for them right now)

as for OW2, the problem is fortnite is pumping out content constantly. how much content did OW1 get, even when blizzard made fucking billions? OW2 will be even worse than that.
and while OW2 probably was cheaper, you still had a whole bunch of blizztroons working for it, which still adds costs that put the game in the negative first - and there is no "buy the new game with the new super special deluxe extras that took an intern a lunchbreak to create" for $60 bucks this time either.

a big IP isn't enough these days (just look at halo infinite or bf2042), on top of blizzards shit rep. even their drones will stop spending money when queues takes longer and longer after people leave, plus no one else to show of their bought shit and fap to like in WoW.

The biggest issue with this game is the queues. How does this shit go ftp and it takes so long for a game? Competitive is nearly 10 minutes. I do love this game at times, or I thought I did. I've tried no role limit and it's still a huge wait. There are so many games where you're in within seconds.

Very annoying since the game when firing on all cylinders is so fun. I find the ability to carry your team is enhanced, at least for junkrat and Winston, my mains. If one other cunt is paying attention on my team, we can make it a challenge, even when the team K/D is like 20/70. I don't know why they yoinked Bastion, but I imagine it's cause everyone who cares about this game back during OW1 is gone or being raped. Not sure what happened there.

Speaking as a shitter at the game, I'm most pissed off at the balance of it. Games are stomps 100% of the time, and the only difference is which side of it you're on.

Every game I've played has either been my team is a well oiled machine and literally never dies, or a 1v5 where I as a healer have the most DPS, more heals than all other healers, and my tank is hiding half a map away from the point, a DPS is off at enemy spawn, and the other DPS is dead.

How is Dunkey still making fun of Overwatch 2 getting more attention than Overwatch 2 itself? I still have yet to see good gameplay videos with solid online gameplay.

I'm pretty good at the game and I'd say 85% are stomps and 15% are competitive(and fun) at my level.

I'm constantly out damaging my fps as Moira and it's embarrassing. I'm tired of shitty widowmakers. 5v5 makes it so its harder to pull up the slack of a shitty character pick.

The tanks right now are so unbalanced it's not even funny. You have ones like Zarya and D.Va who are unstoppable killing machines with insane pick rates, and then you have ones like Wrecking Ball and Doomfist where picking them is practically throwing the game. Oh, and Blizzard has said they're not doing any balance changes until the end of the current season, so enjoy having to deal with this mess until then.
