Ozark - Jason Bateman can direct and act dramatically, who knew.

I'm 3 years late. I'm 3 fuckin years late but HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW IS WILD. So many plot points, so many interesting characters, it's like Breaking Bad, Sopranos, and House of Cards fused to be the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Show (most autistic description I could give, I know)

If you have a Netflix account GO FUCKIN WATCH IT, shit gets more wild with each episode

Anyone else pumped for the final season to be released? They keep upping the ante, it's sort of lost all semblance of believability with the amount of pressure, attention and change all of the main characters have experienced but it's still been a great show.

Just finished S4 and it was really good. I'm always surprised that a show that's a blatant ripoff of breaking bad doesn't suck.

I had to lookup several characters that I didn't remember: Ben and the Zeke (the plumber) baby.

Forgot about the evil wife. It's like the anti breaking bad in that regard.

Does anyone think Darlene is actually dead? She was shot in the body and collapsed, but I'm not sure if that's a definite death. The kid got head-shotted and is definitely gone.

Does saying "sus" instead of "suspicious" predate the whole amogus meme shit? Or are they trying to tell me that this guy is an epic videogamer?

Edit: just finished the rest of the episodes. I did not expect it to end like this.

This show will be underrated forever most likely. Great ending. The fact that people were rooting so hard against the characters who won the show proves that the fans were not paying attention. The entire point of the last season is that Byrdes get in a car accident but live. You know they live in the accident. So the writers basically told you the ending. The Byrdes can survive anything. Which is exactly what Wendy said to the priest. "God will let us win as a family". It was foreshadowing that they basically anything the universe throws at them they will survive together. You knew that the Byrde family will at least live on the show until the car accident scene. And once they survive without a scratch after a near death experience they will want to survive as a family. This is what the last season of The Sopranos was about.

And the other thing the show started off with this season was the Langmore curse. So of course they were going to bring that back. By cursing them further. There was also the Navarro family and how they handle things. The sister kills the brother just to take his power. And avenges the son she likely was not fond of just for appearance's sake.

This show had the balls to let the real bad guys win and the fan favorites lose. Imagine if Breaking Bad had Gus beat Walt and wipe out his entire family including his infant daughter like he once threatened. People bitched about the cartels in Ozark being weak the entire show. "How could they let Del get killed?" "Why are the cartel not investigating Javi?". Well they got what they wished for. The cartel killed the fan favorite character. That everyone wanted a spinoff show for. And killed her in a brutal way.

Am so fucking late to this show, I just finished season 3 and it's easy to see that it's going to end with most (if not all) of the characters I love will be killed by the end. But I don't even mind, this shows obviously inspired by Breaking Bad and there's no way in hell this can end with anyone except MAYBE the baby surviving. Even then I'm not holding out much hope.

I also haven't seen a bipolar character portrayed that accurately and sympathetically before, I knew he couldn't have made it out but I still choked up like a bitch in the end.

I'm back, finished it. Holy shit this was great. Chicago-Columbo figuring shit out, refusing to be bought with money, and Jonah shooting him. I watched it with a friend who was understandably upset Ruth died, and legit tried to cope and say if theyd just gone with Omar she'd be alive. But the show presents you with a lot of ifs: if Ruth hadnt killed Javi, if Nathan hadn't beaten and abused his kids, if Wendy had just told Ben to leave early on, etc. It doesn't matter what they could have or should have done, it already happened. And that jab by the cop about them not being the Kennedy's or the Kochs because the world doesn't work that way just for Wendy to say that's bullshit. This show was always going to have a cynical as fuck ending and I'm glad it did.

Glad you didn't get the ending ruined by spoilers.

I thought it was one of the best ending since The Shield, except it's the anti-Shield ending, an actual subversion of expectations. It took fucking balls to end the show like they did, even if it made sense 100% thematically and according to the internal logic of the show.

Also not enough people spoke about this scene

I thought it was fucking fantastic, and is basically the lynchpin of the whole finale. The moment Marty got his balls back, Wendy got wet for him again, how the whole thing fucking explodes and it just gets real.

Fuck I love this show.

YES. I flipped my shit when Marty finally snapped and took out all the repressed anger and frustration and EVERYTHING he's been keeping under wraps for so long on some asshole. Christ, it took torture by a cartel leader for him to finally say what he was really thinking last time and he's always tried to reason things out if he couldn't keep them to himself. Seeing him actually blow up after all this time was fucking great.

Also Wendy, holy shit she's such a manipulative vindictive cunt and I love watching it. Laura Linney's great at playing both ends of a fucking insane train wreck mother who's barely able to keep that manipulative mask of civility on until she snaps and loses all sense of reason because she wants you to suffer.

The soundtrack, the believability of how it all starts to escalate, how Marty is first just hiding behind his wife and make threats, then sneak punching the guy and his wife and him only caring about his knuckles, forgetting about the guy he just hit because they are so self-centered, it was a masterpiece of symbolism as well... then the guy hits her, Marty stepping in and deciding to do what's right, etc..

This show might be better than the Sopranos, though nowhere near as iconic.

Also is sons of anarchy any good?
No, it's absolute shit. Starts good for a few episodes then goes down a cliff real fucking hard soon after that. Not worth your time you'll end up rage quitting like most people did.

It literally ends up with the main character dying killing himself simulating being crucified and he was treated as bike jesus the whole show, too.

Lol spoilers are dope calm your tits
It's nicer to be surprised by the bigger twist of a show.
