The race between Lamb(D) and Saccone(R) is currently only separated by a couple hundred votes, Lamb is in the lead and has already declared himself the winner even though Saccone and the media are waiting to call it. Apparently there's quite a few absentee ballots that haven't been counted yet and there might be a mandatory recount due to how close the race was.

IMO Lamb will probably win due to running on important issues like infrastructure and improving schools, etc. and running a relatively moderate campaign compared to the party leadership (he's pro 2nd Amendment for example) and this being a mid-term election which historically almost always goes to the minority party. If he sticks to that platform then all the power to him. I'm all for Democrats that don't base their careers around screeching about how the other side is literally Hitler. More people like that and less people like Brianna Wu.

Lamb is quite moderate. Both I trust or respect as far as I could throw but the jerk in me wants to see him lose just because the salt is better.

Neither will really get much done for a lot of reasons so might as well enjoy the lulz more so.

The funny part about this is how all the success democrats have had since Trump's election has been based on reasonable, centerist candidates running on local issues and infrastructure; while the national party doubles down on culture war and fuck blumpf.

Trump won the district by 20 points in 2016. I don't think any Democrat was truly expecting to win, and even if Lamb loses the Dems made up 19 points in 2 years. I don't think you'd see very much salt at all coming from the Dems. They're just happy it's competitive.

Gee it's almost like politicians will say anything to get elected!

Sure this chick may say she's for a lot of Trump things, but will she vote that way? :story:

That's a positive take away from this. Even if its largely inconsequential gain for Dems, it might make social media slightly less unbearable for a while.

Most of the social media I saw last night was focused more on Steve Kornacki (MSNBC vote guru) and his lovable hyperactivity than any crowing about winning or potentially winning PA-18, but that might just be the part I was looking at, idk.

Two things I don't like about PA.

1) Your roads suck ass. I mean reallly really bad.
2) If I go over the speed limit you'll hit me with an 800 dollar fine and all your roads are construction zones....so double that fine.
We have literally the worst bridges in the country, it's scary our infrastructure sucks, over all the whole country does and our weather does not help.

If you want the most suck from PA? It's booze laws with out a doubt.

Over all to PA people this race isn't a big deal, it's just got national media as a false tempting/fear of a blue wave that probably won't happen.

As said, Lamb was hated and called a DINO, until he had a chance to be used as a fuck drumpf in a flipped state guy.

Recount was ordered Lamb was in the lead. He's more pro gun than chuckle fuck Toomy, but yea over all this entire thing is kinda a smoke show and PA people red or blue shouldn't stress and non PA people it doesn't mean what it's being sold as.

As it's been said so far the Democratic wins in red areas have been moderates who have ran on actual issues and merit and not "fucky you drumfph". The tranny that won the state seat in Virginia is a good example of this, they ran on improving roads, schools, etc. while their opponent tried to focus the campaign on "ew, a tranny", he lost, the tranny won.

Meanwhile on the same day as this election there was a lesser known state election in Tennessee where the Democrat tried to run on the fact they were an open atheist in the bible belt and got their ass handed to them.

If this guy decides to win the presidency, then no doubt both idiots would cry about how he's a Democrat who act likes a Republican.

Anything outside of the major cities is just trees and cows. I leave Philly and it's like I'm in some kind of alternate universe. I forget that we are practically our own country in a way.

What a smug, punchable face. I hope he cuts off his balls so he can't procreate.

The District gets dissolved in November. That's the absurdity. all this over a District that is gone. Split between other Districts.
In this case I want to Lamb to win, so that Dems will celebrate only to discover that his victory was pointless as the district is being dissolved.
