I'm glad that even though we never met any of these flora and fauna for ourselves people decide to do art, learn, and speculate on how they're like.
Funnily enough, man may have witnessed the megafauna.

When I was a kid I would always see artwork of dinosaurs lit in purple floating through space but could never find the name of the artist to see more of their work. I remember really wanting a folder or something featuring their artwork. I hadn't thought about it for years now but I recently learned the artist's name is Joe Tucciarone. His art is some of the most 80s/90s stuff you'll ever see.

Figured James Gurney, of "Dinotopia" fame deserves a spot. A rare non-Dinotopia painting of the Triassic era:
Was wondering if someone would mention him. As a tangent, anyone interested in making art should check out his book "Light and Color". It's not a step by step tutorial kind of book as he writes essays about color theory.

I have Color and Light, Imaginative Realism, The Artists Guide To Sketching, and most of his gumroad videos. I'm kicking myself that I didn't think of him earlier.

On that note, here's someone completely different.
