TIL: If you intend to catch something, and you're using a pal that can freeze, do not use a rocket launcher on the target when it is frozen. I went after Paldius and Necromus and my Lyleen Noct froze them, then I fired a rocket. Necromus took a hit, and Paldius' nameplate disappeared. The next time I saw his nameplate, it was for a split second followed by "first boss kill". Turns out that while frozen, Pald got sent to the atmosphere then returned nearby as a mushy paste on the ground. Easy kill... but I wanted to catch it.

Yeah that was in a video as an "Ultra hack way of killing open world elites fast" that Paltubers are shitting out on a daily basis a day or two ago.
 
I think that people are in the early stages of trying to make money with Palworld as server admins. I wonder how things are going to shake out on community servers. Alot of servers are trying to make it into a HARDCORE PvP SURVIVAL EXPERIENCE with WEEKEND Raids. Seems kind of gay, not sure why people are into PvP in an unfinished game with poor AI.

I did not know that alphas were just bigger creatures at the time. I thought it was awesome I could ride around on that huge water otters back.

Edit:
So today I learned that it is impossible to mod Palworld on Linux using UE4SS-RE. So later at some point, I guess we'll be moving to a Windows VM.

From the sounds of it they want to get big and create the best, most "established" community as soon as possible for when the experience is fine-tuned.

I'm starting to get a "no fun allowed" feel from this. I've already encountered faggots who will get absolutely anal if you are using anything other than meta setups or legendaries, similar to DRG servers which list requirements in the name and then the host kicks you for using the "wrong" weapon.
Like, eat shit. I will continue using Lovander with 2 Cremises, one Ribbunny and a Nitewing/Hangyu (for transport).

Edit: just to not be entirely spiteful, I finally unlocked rockets. Them being able to ragdoll shit is busted by itself. I would be even fine with some custom concussion ammo that did 0 damage if it just kept the CC. Currently halfway to 50 so my Pals are no longer scaled down.
It took me close to 300 fucking hatches to get the perfect Shadowbeak only to realize that I hated it the moment I mounted and flew a bit on it. Birds are legit the best mounts for everything.

I love the derpy running animation on the ground. I had to switch it out though, because I much prefer mounts that don't walk... and Jetragon is just so fucking fast.

The mount speeds in this game remind me a lot of WoW, and in that same vein, Jetragon legit feels like a late expansion mount that got accidentally included in the base game. My Frostallion Noct has Swift and Legend, so it's fast, its the second fastest mount in the game, but compared to Jetragon, it feels like moving through molasses. Frostallion is also a much better DPS mount, but Jetragons CC is some next level bullshit that usually just makes it the better option.
