When PalWorld first released I played it a ton (like 300ish hours, though a lot of that was idling while eggs hatched) because a group of people I knew where hosting a server with about 10 friends so it was a good time. I ended up doing way more than everybody else because I'd never really got into a survival/crafting game and the use of Pals in roles outside of combat is such a good idea (hey, Pokemon Company... maybe fucking innovate instead of suing). However, when it came down to only a couple of us still playing the guy running the server didn't wanna keep paying and indefinitely have a PC committed to running it so he shut it down, after giving me all the server files. I tried a bit to get it running on single player which I was able to do with the world and everything we'd built, but could not get it to register me as my character so I haven't touched it since.

This was in the first 2 months of it's release, so it was before all the Nintendo shit. At some point I wanna try the new stuff, but I really wish I could get my character and all the stuff I did working, but if I start a new game I'd definitely crank up all the settings to make it as fast as possible to not grind stuff again. That new trailer is all weird to me - since when is your character a skibidy toilet camerahead? Is that big tree an accessible area now? Are there mods to undo the stupid ball changes?

I yearn for the days of being a prison plantation owner once more, afterall.

The character model is the main character of ULTRAKILL, the game the collaboration is with. Tree isn’t accessible, but two big islands and some small islands have been added. Ball changes are still there atm.

From the sound of the roadmap, they don't intend to make the tree accessible until full release.

I'm all for new Palworld content.... but did it have to be ULTRATRANNY? I don't like the idea of even tangentially supporting a flaming faggot who puts a buttplug mod in his game, if I'm being honest.

After that last time I posted a few weeks ago coincidentally the next day a friend I'd played with the first time started playing again and was telling me about some of the new stuff so I got sucked into playing again and I've basically spent all my free time playing it since then. Man, they have REALLY improved it. There is so much QoL stuff now like the cross-base storage chest and the one that allows you to access all the items on your base, the big egg incubator, the research building and a bunch of other stuff. They also really amped up the end game content with the raids, hard towers, arena, oil rig... and it's all like a different focus on what you use to do it. When I played the game right after release it was mostly over in terms of hard objectives once you beat the Shadowbeak tower which you could do with just a leveled pal team but the new towers and raids really do require putting some real effort into maximizing pals and getting good gear. There's also just way more interesting items to look for with the suitability book and stat raising items. It's cheating a bit because there is so much waiting involved meaning I leave the game running when I'm not playing, but it's become my #3 most played game on Steam now.

Exploring the new land and finding all the new pals was super fun, hopefully the 1.0 finally lets you go to that damn tree which I've wanted to do since I first flew over to it and was met with an invisible wall. I also hope they keep adding stuff post 1.0 - this is really by far the most fun I've ever had with one of these survival-craft type games.

I want to know more. But I'm also not sure how many TCGs are worth playing at this point. Scalpers have made card prices insane.
Scalpers ruin fucking everything, sadly. As much as I hate how things move away from physical, scalpers can only do so much when it comes to strictly digital shit with infinite supply.

But then they love to do the "gacha" bullshit when they go digital. Just let me pick the cards I want in a deck, pay like $5 and give me a couple freebies here and there as I play so I can expiriment enough to test and possibly be encouraged to buy another deck. Corponiggers and their chase of the fabled "infinite line go up" cheat will never make this a reality though.

Apparently they’re working with a company called “Bushiroad” to make the card game. The company apparently does a lot of card games and own New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Reminder that Palworld will lose the lawsuit.
Cool story bro. Both Japan's and the US's patent office have been re-evaluating Nintendo's patents because of public outcy. Turns out people are less arbitrary about who's doing the patent trolling than you are. Most people aren't like you. They can write and read better than you, for example.

He's whiteknighting for his corporate god in the Nintendo Switch 2 thread. Why wouldn't it be him?

I love Nintendo, they're the only people who still know family games consoles should have couch multiplayer games. And also the only ones with exclusive games that aren't shit. You're still a bleached Somalian with an iq of 67 thinking Pokemon is still good or Palworld will lose the lolsuit. I should tell Trump about the bleached Somalians so he can get ICE to deport you back to Africa.
