I take it you don't keep that abreast of the latest tech or AI developments, but these days it's trivially easy to make an AI approximation of someone's voice using a nothing but a few minutes of audio and some free online websites, Google colab notebooks or your own hardware if you have the appropriate equipment. If it took more effort I'd say your argument holds weight, but the technology has approached and now exceeded the point of technologically-illiterate-normie accessibility.

But it's not trivially easy to take a real-time audio stream and deepfake it. There is hours of VC with the dude. Unless you know something I don't, there is no real-time voice deepfake solution that allows such a high fidelity *at all*, let alone free and open source.
