Didn't see it posted but Friday, tons of videos will be released showcasing different nations in EU5. Apparently there is no video length restriction, but livestream restriction is 8 hours. If anyone wants to check out specific countries, you can follow the link.

Only the Anglophones and Chinese decided to play countries they aren't from it seems. Well them and the Polish. Also quite funny that the only Youtuber doing the Timurids is Japanese. For the biggest, craziest early game nation, you'd think people would be on it, especially since four Chinese Bilibiliers are doing Ming, and that requires more waiting around.

I've been watching for a while and damn. The timelapse AI issues aside - the game looks good. There's so many things you can fiddle with. You can even set education spending for children in your court if someone looks good stat wise. Characters seem more important than I thought they will be. Combat looks as much fun as EU4. Taking favorable battles is more important and stack wiping is fucking double painful now since you're losing pops.
EU5 makes Victoria 3 look like a bigger joke than it already is.

EDIT: AI seems to conquer in odd places. Burgundy in Italy for example.

The videos are beginning to release. Laith for example made a 2 hour long Byzzy vid

College has put his first, and likely only EU5 video. Over 70 crashes throughout him trying to record it. Supposedly fixed by a newer patch, but keep that in mind.

In Summary of his thoughts at the end, you should really only play this game if you'll enjoy the gameplay loop in the Age of Renaissance. He liked the greater focus on the pop system and slowing down of expansion.

Decided to go with mainland Spain this time. I mean, last time was more of a Carolingian game before becoming a Jerusalem one because of luck anyway. The Umayyad fags were obliterated by Asturias, so I took the opportunity to take Portucale after forming the duchy of Galicia with Business focus money. From there on, it was just a matter of voting for myself and assassinating my liege. I got a really good marshal heir, and I used them to carve out most of what you see here.

my heart yearns for jerusalem
i just had so much fun surviving and thriving there

I am relatively hopeful for this game but I still have complaints regarding the UI lol. I am watching the iSorrow video and there is so many ui elements with way more space than they need. But, as long as you can edit the ui or scale it, I think I will be fine. But its really looking like CK3 and Vic3 which makes me want to die.

Have been tentatively looking forward to EU5 releasing, but Spiffing Brit's video on landless countries added some excitement given I haven't followed the dev diaries closely. The trade and loan systems will be fun to figure out and abuse, especially given you can hold vassals as them and still declare wars. Renaissance era corporate nationalism and colonial economic zones? Why yes please.

Red Alert! The vtubers are already playing EU5! Its never been more Joever...
Only one I've paid any attention to was Clio Aite, and purely because she's got over 4k hours in EU4. She showed off enough in her stream to sell it, warts and all.
