Haha I had to click on the links to the sob story videos to see what was going on there, and it's a bunch of disgusting fat people. The black guy was pretty fuckin' fat, and that's after he suffered in hospital for two months so he probably lost 100 pounds. The white woman was an absolutely disgusting whale, not just fat but that kind of trailer trash no-fucks-given sloppy fat.

Nestled among these stories are the quiet bits about how people are dying and/or having terrible outcomes from being intubated. These "poor" ICU nurses are literally killing people by venting them ASAP due to a combination of administrative failure, personal feelings, and failure to actually figure out the pathology of this disease.

What is "not old". 30? 40? 50? Was he immunocompromised? Because I would love to know how this guy died from a virus I and my old man both caught and survived with relative ease.

Maybe it's just the selection of stories here at A&N, but it can seem like the news is full of pushing propaganda and hot takes, making up new "social issues", and celebrating Clown World values. It can certainly undermine any sense of optimism of the world and the future.
