Well, for one thing, listen to what the scientists recommend instead of downplaying it and say it would go away magically by Easter. He also could've not told people to end the lockdowns earlier than the scientists said it was okay to. He also could've encouraged social distancing and mask wearing (which he still refuses to do).

NYC alone has x3-x4 the death count of Florida and Texas and they have had more cases than NYC. The governors of those states didn't need trump to tell them it's a retarded idea to send sick people back to nursing homes when you already know the virus is dangerous for older people like almost all viruses are.
