I made a pasta dish tonight. Found an old bottle of spaghetti sauce, so I took a bit of that (like 3 oz), mixed with olive oil, heated up with mushrooms and green onions (had some left over). Added to pasta noodles. Turned out pretty good.

God... Forgive me for I am going to sin by giving actual reasons for this type of blasphemy.

This fedora shit started because of full on worshiping of greasy, Domino's chucking...Cheetos-eating.... Soap-that-was-optional, types of programmers during the Crack Head 80's.

Anyhow the hot and sweaty masses of programmers took Indiana Jones as their patron saint as those people thought they were taming the electronic frontier. They thought they were something special. The smell is compared to a Anime Convention Room, full of fat sweaty people during a ventilation system failure....

I have seen the Chubby Steve Erwin Clones with Fedora, Bullwhip and Shorts programming away during the golden era of the video gaming industry. The money was exceptional so I kept it for a few years before they were bought out.

If it wasn't for the fact I worked in the Death Industry and was used to Funky smells I would have just puked a few times.

Yes the stereo type was real back then. Not sure if it is now.

I don't live in fear of violence. If it has to happen, it will happen and I will deal with it. Guns might be hard to get, but my country has a knife culture and most martial arts schools teach how to use them. While I am no expert, I know enough to be more trouble than I'm worth to an assailant. And I would also point out that I'm not a lefty, but I have no vested interest in what someone one the internet thinks of me.

I have to point out guns require much less training and are more effective than knives. You point the correct end at the bad guy and pull the trigger. Way more practical. You could be a fat, lazy, mobility scooter-riding American and still cause a lot of trouble.

And you want to talk tough guy delusions? Getting martial arts training to most effectively use knives :story: You know that's not going to happen on any significant scale in your country or any other disarmed country. What are you, a population of action movie stars?

And your authorities, wherever you are on the planet, definitely have firearms, so you won't be a threat to them in any eventuality. But maybe they, too, won't ever have the balls to use them. One can always hope.
