I've been running an experimental Pathfinder game for @Randall Fragg , @Dunsparce , @Dollars2010 , and @Adamska . So far, it's been a blast. Unlike other games where the worlds and lore are a deep part of the game, this one doesn't have that luxury. Oh no. Because almost everything is randomized!

After talking with my players, we decided to expand on this, inviting folks and increasing the number of variables.

This experiment is mostly a test of improvisation. How on the fly can people react? To make a character? To realize who they are and who their random party members are?

Things that are randomly generated:
  • Race
  • Class
  • Stats
  • Gender (1d2)
  • Treasure
  • Dungeons!
Yes, even the dungeons are generated using an algorithm, which ends up with things like...

The treasure generator is amusing. Not unlike an MMO's RNG, where you kill a rat and end up with an antiproton assault minigun.

Uh, is it too late for me to try and hop in? I haven't been in a Pathfinder group for ages and ages, and I need something to occupy my time.
