I had a few huge paragraphs typed out, but meh... this guy here already did a good job (even though he seems to remember some things incorrectly):

(I think even just saying anything about what the game is about after Day 1 spoils an awesome twist, but eh... If you want to play an interesting, although artsy game and don't mind a lot of walking and a bad translation, don't even read that and get it via GOG immediately)

People that played The Void or Knock-Knock: It's made by the same people - if you liked those games, you'll probably like this one as well (though if you did, you probably already knew about it).
More importantly:

The kickstarter for the remake was funded. The only thing I really care about is a good re-translation, but more content and overhauled graphics are always appreciated. Anyone else hyped?
Anyone?

I've just started the original version of the game. The translation is thankfully no issue for me because I'm playing the German version which turned out pretty well as far as I can tell. I'm still right at the very beginning but from what I've seen so far the writing of the game is beyond anything I've ever seen before in a video game. There's just a level of creativity and complexity in there that no other studio has even attempted. I'm not sure if I'd say the gameplay holds up quite as well but if the storytelling stays on a consistently high level I will enjoy it very much.

I watched a pretty in-depth Let's Play of this a few years back. It seemed like a pretty deep endeavor and I really liked the feeling of hopelessness that you couldn't save everyone.

The choppy translation kind of added to the charm for me but this looks really promising!

I remember playing a demo or something a long time ago because I'd heard about the game, and it sounded really unique like something I'd be into. Unfortunately, I couldn't appreciate the awesomeness of the nonsensical English translation at the time. If they're remaking it, I'll check it out, though.
