No one is taking over super tips. Even before this shadiness of potentially having and talking about private information there is the legal question I asked about using the likeness of voices and pictures of people via his AI voices and not getting legal permission or paying out royalties. Also many of the people he uses (aaron, Chad, Kevin Brennan, Kate meaney) hate him. With the disregard Melton has had over the years of paying taxes, him illegally accessing Aaron's account etc... I think it is safe to say he doesn't take into account the legal ramifications of anything. Too busy at the buffet, getting stoned or drunk.

super tips is just a way for melton to get paid right away (not pay youtube 30 percent) and good luck getting a refund from a super tip. Like i have said his history is doing shady semi criminal things and just hoping he gets away with it, this combined with the cybercrime charges will be a pretty miserable year for Melton.

And to answer third world, Aaron has never talked about it this much in detail before, that tells me he is super confident and probably charges are coming.

It is definitely new for him to be talking about it in that level of detail and worth crossposting to the main thread. MAPton spoke of having received some leaked details of the Leighton Broadcasting proposal quite some time ago with his own insinuation that someone at Leighton had sent it to him to share in a laugh at it, and it was only after Nick's revelation of the Google breach in early November that many speculated that the proposal had instead been obtained from Nick, but that hadn't been confirmed by Aaron in so many words until just now.

Previously Aaron had shown uncharacteristic restraint in refusing to give any details about the cybercrime investigation so as to not interfere with it, only letting slip so far that he has called and met with different authorities, that he has given them evidence to work with and has given them more evidence in another round that they had specifically requested, that one of them remarked to him things like "sounds like a crime" and "beyond a reasonable doubt," and that he's now certain of an unspecified "bare minimum" set of ramifications that will inevitably result whereas any more serious ramifications are still to be determined.

The fact that he is now changing course by revealing much more specific details is a somewhat good sign that investigators may have told him they more or less have what they need to move forward, such that loose lips wouldn't jeopardize the process any longer.

On a semi-related note, it is interesting that there has been a nosedive in Nick's participation in MAPton's chat transcripts lately, going from a peak of 7 shows in a row to a middling 14 out of 18 shows to now 9 straight no-shows in a row since December 16th. It's probably just from an overall attitude adjustment since finally licking the boot at the settlement conference that week, but the optimistic side of me prefers the fanfic that MAPton recently agreed to cooperate with investigators and Nick found out about it:

Melton right now probably thinks nothing is going to happen but that investigation isn't even 2 months old and it got stretched cause aaron's lawyer kept finding new stuff as Melton couldn't keep his fat trap closed. I figure this month or next the charges come down.
