Patrick Lake / Dogpatch Press / Patch O' Furr / Patch Packrat - Furry journalist who got jerked off in public. Currently being sued.

He didn't go silent, which is a story pushed by, you guessed it, nazi furs, furry menagerie and that kind of grudge source. They even made a hashtag to push it. Pretty funny tag but also shows who is behind it. https://twitter.com/hashtag/dogshitpress

Along with his work on the zoosadists story he got Fur con and others to do policy changes announced or behind the scenes. Sangie is now blacklisted at many cons which for obvious reasons isn't a public discussion. Source: con staff.

Not sure what this has to do with the Sangie shit. That hashtag was started by altfurs, sure, but it was kept alive by the lefties who patch blocked for calling him out about his cub defense. I know a good number of the people on that page and they are not alt-right.

Patch is fueled by drama. It feels weird that a drama llama like him didn't report on a pedophile. Don't defend his shit like that.

Mandaeism is a living religion bursting with fascinating mythology and magic (and loads of magic realism). I contend this Gnostic religion provides some forgotten gods that could be very useful for today’s culture where imagination, inventiveness, and wonder are evanescing under the crushing gravitational pull of global idiocracy caused by the Archons of this age. – (This Forgotten Gnostic God Could be the Cure for Today’s Idiocracy – by Miguel Conner)

Fred’s Mandaean religion story (8/10/15)

Dear Patch;

On March 20, 2015 the astronomical community put out a call for new names, and votes for names, for the features of Pluto and its moons since the New Horizons space probe was due to fly past and send back the first closeup pictures of it soon. (This happened in July.) The traditional names of Greek and Roman gods and goddesses used for astronomical features have been used up.

Rutgers professor Charles Haberl started a campaign to begin using names from Mandaean mythology, since the astronomical community had never used Mandaean names before. I had never heard of the Mandaeans, but Wikipedia says, “The Mandaean community of Iraq and Iran is one of the few communities from the Middle East that still preserve the ancient Babylonian tradition of divination by the stars and heavenly bodies (Astrology), directly from its source, even retaining the traditional Akkadian names for the stars and the visible planets. Despite this unique distinction, the Mandaeans had previously been unrepresented in astronomical place-names.”

Haberl’s campaign has been successful, and one of the newly-discovered features on Pluto has been named Krun, after the leading Mandaean lord of the underworld. The Mandaean religion recognizes five lords of the underworld, listed in the title. Only Krun is described, as an anthropomorphic giant louse.

He is represented by the image of a lion on the skandola talisman, which is used to seal the graves of the newly dead, but according to an oral account collected by E.S. Drower, his appearance is that of a giant louse. – (Miguel Conner)

This seems to be a whole new area for furry artists and writers, who have been focusing on Anubis, Bast, Actaeon, and the other animal-headed gods and goddesses of Egyptian mythology, the humans turned into animals of Greek and Roman mythology, and the African and North American trickster spirits like Anansi the spider and Nanabozo the giant rabbit. (Unfortunately, only Krun is described on Wikipedia.)

Wikipedia says that the Mandaeans are highly secretive and dwindling, although some have recently emigrated to the U.S. “During the last decade the indigenous Mandaic community of Iraq, which used to number 60-70,000 persons, has collapsed due to the Iraq War, with most of the community relocating to nearby Iran, Syria and Jordan and forming diaspora communities outside of the Middle East. According to a 2009 article in The Holland Sentinel, the Mandaean community in Iran has also been dwindling, numbering between 5,000 to 10,000 people, with approximately 1,000 Iranian Mandaeans emigrating to the United States since 2002, after the State Department granted them protective refugee status, which was not accorded to Iraqi Mandaeans until 2007. However, Alarabiya has put the number of Iranian Mandaeans as high as 60,000 in 2011.”

Assuming that I can find out anything else about Mandaean anthropomorphic mythological figures, is there a feature in this? Or would you be interested in all of the various anthro mythological characters that furry writers and artists have used and might be interested in?

Best wishes;

Fred

Oh boy, a whole new religion for furries to bastardize and subsequently make it hard to look up actual information about for those who want to learn something!

Way to fuck things up for the practitioners of this religion, deadfred and patch

Imagine surviving the fall of Rome, emergence of Judaism and Christianity, the Islamic conquests and multiple hostile theocratic empires and dictatorships, persecution, just to have your faith finally die due to bastardisation by furries.

A person responsible for both furries and weebs. Its like learning the true name of Satan himself.

OPINION: Dogpatch Press Is Horrible And Should Be Cancelled.

Author: Indigobang!?

EDIT: Updated to explain that he was jacked off at a BDSM event not a pride parade. He’s still wearing the same fursuit he attends conventions in.

From standing alongside and defending a cub porn apologist to revealing peoples sensitive information and harassing people who follow his detractors; Bitchpatch Press is not only jumping the shark lately but doing cartwheels over the motherfuckers, and while I’m inclined to allow him to keep shooting himself in the foot, he’s getting blood everywhere and you can only buy so much hydrogen peroxide to clean up the blood at the grocery store before the cashier starts getting worried you might be a serial killer.

“But what has he actually done thats so bad?”

1. Was jacked off publicly IN HIS FURSUIT (Partial but still) at a BDSM Festival. This is the same suit he attends cons in.
2. Stood up for and defended an article written and published by a cub porn apologist.
3. Has called up peoples workplaces and family members to harass them for things he believes they have done. (Sometimes hes correct in this. Sometimes not.)
4. Has revealed private information of those he believes are guilty of something even if that something is just following someone who he believes are bad, which is hit or miss on the guilty verdict of either party at best.
5. Reveals private information of his competitors if they dare go against him.
6. Sends his sock puppets and fanboy/girl army to attack anyone he dislikes.
7. Plays favorites with those guilty of horrid things.
8. Never paid some of his employees who he agreed to pay. (Not just me.)
9. Uses his position to jockey his desires within the POPFUR circle including the blacklisting of those who he disagrees with.
10. Mass blocking anyone who talks with his detractors, talks bad about or disagrees with his actions, and/or disagrees with his statements and criticises him for them. (Not talking about harassment, talking about people who just simply disagree with his opinions.)

To name but a few things.

Even though its been weeks now since I last talked about him in depth, I still have him and his defense squadron shooting comments at me here on OwO as well as on my twitter accounts. So while this all may seem ridiculous and overdone Just know that I’m only continuing to bring this up because he and his punkbitch fan base continue to come at me.

Dogpatch is standing on top of fucked up scandal mountain and yodeling at us.

Indigo does not have the thick skin necessary to be reporting on stuff like this that deal with grudges and emotions. She would be much better suited to doing fluff pieces with minimal emotional involvement if she wants to build a name in the fandom

I've been following her since all of this went down and while she and I have never interacted im pretty confident of these things:

1. she has an itchy trigger finger -- a lot of the stuff she writes gets edited or retracted very fast because she posts it before she gets confirmation of things, or without the whole story. I've seen her do this a few times and each individual time was not really a big deal on its own, but combined it all adds up
2. she has a grudge and it shows, she has trouble taking herself out of the articles, and she reacts strongly to negative attention and returns it with some vitriol
3. she may not have the best infosec considering her normal account was outed relatively quickly after calling out patch, people will be wary of trusting her with info

I don't see anything super wrong with her writing itself but im a borderline illiterate sped.

Something didn't sit right with me about DPP's interactions with Simba Lion / Chris Bryant so I decided to look back at the OP.

DDP's callout of Simba began somewhere around Oct 26th, 2018. (Archive) But if you look at the top of the Telegram messages below, you see a date. Jan 13th.

The Zoosadist leaks linking back to ShadowWoof and Kero fall on Sept 19th yet somehow MONTHS AFTER not just those leaks, but also the Furry Menagerie callout, SW suddenly decides to DM DogPatch on Jan 9th, 2019?
Archive
There are no dates on the ShadowWoof Telegram messages so I can't say when he got those but considering the previous information, doesn't this seem a little... odd?
For context, SW is suspected to be sexually involved with Chris & Chris has a fetish for crushing small animals + beast. That's why he stuck his nose into this business.

At the very least, DogPatch was aware of Simba / Chris using phishing links and allowing minors into his server since January 2018. Idunno if the other info can conclusively prove he was aware of the Zoo Telegram chat owned by SW before the Zoo leaks but this doesn't look good.

Anyone get any thoughts on this?

My understanding from the tweet thread was that these were relatively old conversations that patch had been sitting on. for better or worse, patch is pretty slow to post stuff of consequence most of the time, if he ever posted it. I think he does a lot of talking and researching quite a bit ahead of time, which is also what people who do actual reporting usually do for big stories.

I expect he has a pile of dirt on a bunch of people that he is waiting for the right time to drop or waiting to confirm info or waiting for anything.

10 months though? On something that serious? Not to mention I think there were less popular threads talking about him dating back to September. It's not like the info wasn't out there.
You don't need 10 mos to figure out someone is THAT big of a piece of shit. Even the Zoosadist leaks took around 2 mos of scrimping if I was reading everything correctly and that was a large-scale sting.

Yeah, it's confusing to me too. I don't know what held patch back as long as he did. He held back on talking about sangie though so this could be similar.

I don't know how he looks at these news stories. I don't think that he sees this as him doing some kind of public service, I think that its about building his brand. and we know that he thinks of people as "high value targets" and "low value targets." I wouldn't be surprised if he let the simba situation fester just so that when it boiled over it was a bigger story than it would have been otherwise. but that is speculation

You know what... that actually makes the most sense as far as speculation goes.

Deeming people as " high / low value " targets isn't necessarily a bad thing as even 911 operators have to make similar assessments but put in that context, it becomes a lot more insidious.

I saw Simba as a high value target just based on his interactions with minors & the blackmail thing (which Patch says in the exchange w Simba that he was aware of) so idk how much more of a threat someone needs to be in order for him to oust someone. That's fucked up, man.

There are so many shitty people in the furry community. if you want a story about a shitty person to go viral then they have to be REALLY shitty

honestly you could compare this idea to what kf does with lolcows. Like, lets say you find someone you think is kind of a lolcow but they don't really stand out from a crowd. maybe not worth making a thread right away. so you wait and you watch the person and when they do more and more absurd things you eventually have enough dirt to write about them. And because you waited until things were outrageous, you get more attention

You're not wrong but even by KF standards, I'd say what Simba did qualifies for his own thread (which is why I made one). It only got worse as everyone decided to dump their shit when DPP " outed " him. People always hold their cards until someone else shows their hand. It's happened over and over and over again which is why I have to question DP's motivation for withholding information on a child predator.

Yeah. I still can't say why he really did it but it is suspect. even if he was an actual good journalist though, I wouldn't expect him to publish things immediately as he learns them and confirms them. not like it happens here

So over on Twitter KindKabsCorner was getting called out by other Twitter furries after a botched Bad Dragon exposé that missed a lot of "open secrets" and called out the wrong people.

Dogpatch, smelling blood in the water and a chance at recovering his rep did what PKRussl did after Dogpatch got called out by using that as a way of getting back at the people calling him a cub supporter.

The first post links to some random techie troon's Wordpress blog post involving conspiracy garbage about how pedophiles on YT comment boxes of kids are actually glow in the dark cia niggers troll farms and he starts to talk about sites cracking down on sexual content:
689008
He then links to a flayrah article whining about Keemstar and talks about "clout farmers".
689013
Now what are clout farmers? Well see this is where it gets spicy. Dogpatch claims (in his own words) he was lynched online by a bunch of clout farmers waging gay ops against him, before denying he's a clout farmer as well and even managing to bring up alt-furry in it somehow:
689015
689017
689018

Now of course with Dogpatch throwing his reputation in the toilet this went as well as you'd expect.

The projection is strong. Patch is the very DEFINITION of a clout farmer who whips up mobs to do his bidding. I'm just glad that his spell seems to have been broken by very virtue of people realising he's a harmful hack. I hear even furs with sympathetic worldviews lived in fear of a dogpatch article, should they displease him. It's to the effect of something Machiavelli wrote, even though getting people to fear you is effective, if the spell is broken, people will happily and quickly destroy you, for you would have done the same to them in the same circumstances. It's one of the reasons people think The Prince has a satirical element to it; something that undermines Machiavelli's thing about fear being best.

Being a certified kool-aid drinker, I'm surprised Patch even came close to comparing his situation to a Lynching, given the racial connotations of the word in american culture. There's a myriad of words he could have used. A mugging, a mob attack, swarming etc... But Patch isn't a particularly good writer. A buzzfeed intern, rather than a Hunter S Thompson or a Jon Ronson.

Good riddance.

EDIT: And I know Patch reads his thread, so I'll say this:

If you WANT to progress as a writer, own your damned mistakes. Endeavour to be something more than a snarky internet cunt. There's too many of those. They're dime a fucking dozen.

I can tell you're a gonzo type, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. Gonzo types have written some fine literature. Everyone looking to get into a craft should have a role model. You should endeavour to be more like a Hunter S Thompson or Ronson.

A BIG feature is to can the moral grandstanding, the basic bitch internet snark and the dishonesty. Them two fine examples of Gonzo give their views, and even inject hints of sarcasm and humour in, sure. But they told the truth as they saw it, and can even empathise with the people who are the stories subjects. Like Thompson feeling a kind of kinship with Hells Angels, who; as you may recall, were a violent biker gang filled with violent people, or Ronson even feeling empathy for people who have been designated dangerous sociopaths. And I mean actual empathy, not "UwU I shared a tweet about sad immigrant children today, look how empathetic I am!". But actual "I understand what they feel and why" kind

And this isn't some grand conspiracy to end you, Patch. You just acted like a cunt, who tripped off the small amount of power your meagre platform afforded you. Learn from this, or make the same mistakes IF you ever claw your way back up.
