I believe that Pat's pigheaded responses to the SWATings is exactly why he is in this situation. My thought is that the first SWATing was an attempt to frame this site much like all the others that were occuring at the time. I won't say it's the same person who tried to get @AltisticRight caught up in one but I feel it came from the same intentions and from outside this site's regular users. Pat's response to that one did two things against him. It failed to bring him much sympathy (because he isn't a sympathetic person, even when people attempt to get the state to kill him) and it resulted in a funny recording from a confused neighbor. The original freak-out coupled with his refusal to deny the SWATer(s) attention in the subsequent interactions with police means there is an incentive to keep trying until he gives up another explosive episode.

"Don't give them the satisfaction" was the right answer at SWATing number 3 or 4. It's too late now. If he genuinely isn't farming it out to an internet tranny to somehow benefit him in a far-fetched way, then he has a dedicated troll who thinks it's funny and doesn't care that everyone is tired of it.
