With how computer illiterate hillary is, i wouldnt be surprised if she googled "codewords for child porn" and just used the first thing that came up. If this is all a big misunderstanding then they couldnt have picked a worse code for avoiding scrutiny than "cheese pizza".

Regardless of what is really going on, these people are clearly all idiots. From whoever devised this suspicious little argot, right down to Aaric Eisenstein and his painful misunderstanding of how codewords work. The lack of subtlety is mindboggling.

I agree that pizza is code word in these e-mails, simply because it makes sense: they buy and eat a lot of pizza while campaigning both for themselves and their volunteers. Therefore, it makes sense to use pizza as code because it integrates so well with their daily lives. This would allow them to keep their secrets in the open without drawing suspicion from the innocents in their large organization. Food in general seems to be a very good code for podesta because he, apparently, is an excellent cook (from everything I can gather).

So it makes sense that food items would work as a natural code - it's something that comes up a lot and you could easily integrate it into a conversation with nobody being the wiser. You wouldn't even need to be sinister about creating the code, either since it would be a naturally sarcastic way to reference these things. While I do agree that pizza is code for something, I'm not convinced it's a child sex trafficking ring. While there are connections between the Clintons and various sex offenders, the current crop of e-mails only suggest times, length of events, and events themselves; but, without something more solid we can only speculate as to what type of events these are.

TL;DR: Food related e-mails are probably code, but because they integrate so naturally into running a huge volunteer based organization it's hard to determine which e-mails are legitimately part of the code and what exactly they're talking about. Until more information comes out we're just being about as autistic as the exceptionals on GLP.
