People getting a hard on for horror indie games - A Tattletail, Bendy and the Ink Machine,Hello Neighbor or (insert flavor of the month here)

Either way, NFTs with hidden ARG styled elements is just so bizarre.
This move rubs me the wrong way on a couple of levels:
1. while i can begrudgingly accept NFTs as some lame merch you can buy to support something, i can't shake off the feeling that everyone sporting them is desperate to fleece some clueless sucker out of his money via promises of cryptocurrency-like growth. If you want to sell some generated jpegs go for it but don't tie it to crypto gambling, you really don't have to.
2. making people pay money to unlock clues for your ARG is completely retarded, you're essentially hoping people will pay YOU for an advertisement of your game. What the fuck.
3. all of this is clearly targeted at kids, this is not the "think of the children" argument, this is actually exploitative on a couple of levels.

I'm losing respect for those cocksuckers by the minute.

I agree with the first parts but have to disagree with the 3td because kids aren't the ones to be investing in crypto, maybe if they are older but still, they would just get the ARG code from someone else who actually solved it then do it themselves.

Unless they asked their parents to get them it which would require a lot of explaining to even get that far along with the parents having crypto currency in the first place.

Which wouldn't be too far out there but then the kids would also have to know about them having it to even go and ask.

Either way it was just a incredibly retarded move on their part, they don't even make an OC style thing which would probably have more people interested in it.

They both fucked up their profits from this and fucked up on the impact of the secret message because of how it's attached to something very controversial.

Now to close this off, if I had to guess the next character would probably be "Kissy" which is literally just a re-color of the last monster, it is also the character that has the least amount of screen time and importance in the first chapter but I guess it's the character that the fanbase latched onto so that's it's going to be nextz

Making the next antagonist the same as the previous one but just pink instead of choosing any of the other characters with original designs is a pretty cynical move, in theory the character should be near the end in a Torizo/Golden Torizo style like Super Metroid but whatever it's the angle that is it gonna make them the most money I guess.

When I first heard about this, I thought it was going to be some Huggy bullshit but no it seems that they are just pngs from the game.

I feel like if they did the same with the new shirts they're selling it would be less weird.

Who knows maybe they are but if that is the case then that just adds to the weirdness, in-theory it would be clever to get people to buy their stuff but still nonetheless weird as hell.

I said "in theory " it would be because it sure as hell didn't work, not too sure people are mad because the NFTs are lazy, they are Jim Sterling or etc but they are really mad at this.

I pacifically like this thumbnail just because of how angry the dude looks over this shit lol.

I don’t see a problem. He doesn’t have a gun to his head forced to buy the NFT’s. Just ignore it.

I have almost no idea what you're going for.

But I guess you're talking about the angry bald dude or the other Twitter dude.

And if that's the case then yeah, you're right and you found the comedy of it, which I thank you for sharing with everyone lol.

The game is super glitchy on the xbox. I couldn't get the game to work right when I got clocked into the burger place.
I've been playing it on PC and haven't had any problems so far.

It's pretty fun, actually, and I recommend it. It's very obviously slanted towards the crowd that loves SCP and streamers freaking out at every little thing though.

There is only so much I can take.

What is this from?

Edit: they changed the thumbnails have the videos to have the new chapter 2 villain to get more views lol.

The dude who made this, supposedly made this big edgy expanded universe with stuff like Fnaf and Siren.

I remember skipping though their Fnaf Twisted movie 2, seeing Fnaf fetish art and mlp houses in the background all the while they were still trying to be super serious.

The Poppy creator makes weird fandom clickbait stuff which is just absolutely bizarre.
it's like night and day.png
The trailer on the channel.jpg

He got popular way back because of how he would do Minecraft song animations of popular games of the time.
the old stuff.jpg

Although his channel became Infamous after he started doing clickbait, in particular, because of the weird sexual undertones of the videos which is the norm when it comes to clickbait stuff either way still.

That's all I have about this, I thought someone else would cover it here because of how bizarre it is but that doesn't seem to be the case.

And it really sucks too because of how all the videos that I've seen about this topic bitch and moan about the NFT stuff and they seem so retardly dramatic about it.
this guy talks pretty weird.jpg

I watched a youtuber play poppy chapter 2 and what i'll say is

-Spider steals the doll so you must clear 3 areas (rule of 3 of course) to get it back.
-It's memory color game, whack-a-mole and red light green light against other toys who eat you (merch fodder)
-There are a few more puzzle elements, like pulling yourself high, swinging and storing a battery charge on a glove
-The "boss" is creepily animated but still boils down to a heavily scripted linear chase.

-spider lady dies at the end of chase
-you see a metal hand take her implying to be experiment 1006 or whatever (game theory fodder)
-The company creator lost his daughter and notes say people wanted to resurrect a dog using a "poppy flower". It's obvious the doll represents the creator's daughter and the killer toys are either resurrect people or objects given life.
-pink girl huggy (kissy missy?) appears for 5 seconds and opens a door for you. That's it. (game theory bait).

PS: This is all ONE HOUR LONG and costs 10 FUCKING DOLLARS because the devs made the first chapter free. If you bought the first one before it got free you get NO DISCOUNT btw. This was enough to drop the steam score from very positive to neutral.

>>>opinions

It looked extremely lazy and formulaic. Why create a stretchy spider themed monster only to have it hunt you in a corridor exactly like huggy? I assume each chapter will be: Go here, do 3 puzzles, get this thing, escape the boss. While the same can be said for recent horror games (even RE8 lol), i hate it on those too. These modern PG-10 kid friendly horror games arent scary at all cause the monsters have to be cute in order to sell merch and all you can do is run away or fade to black die.

Even if we ignore the nfts, alleged content theft and obvious merch driven narrative (there is a merch button on the main menu btw), this feels like a game that was made for youtubers instead of players. It's soulless and greedy at best. Hell, the fact that the devs officially announced they'll be making horror film before chapter 2 released just shows how they only care about the money.

At least it released without any noteworthy bugs which is more than fnaf and bendy can say.

What they are doing with Experiment 1006 (claw hand monster) is pretty derivative of something like Fnaf's Ennard but also very interesting because it makes one think twice about killing the main monster in question.
Claw.png

We saw the thing in both of the chapters it's just that we didn't see it in-game for the first so that caused a lot of people to believe that its first tape was meant to be for Huggy the blue Muppet mascot thing.

It's also interesting that it is drastically different from all the other experiments/characters with it being a presumably a humanoid endoskeleton with human bones for some reason.

This mixed with how it's called prototype one can person that they try to make an artificial human after doing the testing with weird mascot characters (none of which were human) and cardboard cutouts.

It is very much implied that it stitches parts of the dead bodies into itself going off of what Mommy longlegs says before she dies "You'll make me part of him!" so logically this thing has to be a horrifically gross monster with presumably a good amount of gore attached to it.

This also explains why we don't see any dead bodies of the scientists in the game because they were all presumably fused into the horrific beast probably in its goal to become more than a presumably fragile walking skeleton.

I really hope that's the case and that we get to see something not only get something that's actually creepy looking but also something that's very unsettling and the fact that we have to go face to face with this hyper-intelligent abomination that knows how to do things like fuck with the facility machinery makes me hope that they don't puss out on this concept.

I'll admit, I kinda like how characters like Huggy and Mommy are animated. The former is especially unnerving as he's chasing you through the ducts.

Other than that though, it really feels like the guy's putting a shit ton into one basket between the movie announcement, the NFT's containing hints about the game's lore, ect. Which is all very strange as this game doesn't really do anything that particularly new or innovative. On top of all that. IT'S NOT EVEN FINISHED.

I suppose it doesn't matter though. The finale could be a steaming pile of shit, and by then, the creator will be rolling in all the money from all the merch and free advertisement from Youtubers. Such is modern game development.

Actually the channel Theft King goes into the whole Enchanted Mob stuff beyond the NFTs, such as bullying a 17 year old animator to the point of a breakdown and their half dozen shady channels.

That was Bendy in a nutshell. Hello Neighbor was slightly different because it started chasing Game Theory videos and changing their game from a fun little Breaking and Entering simulator to solve a mystery with an AI that learns from your past attempts to this lore filled junk pile that was broken beyond belief.

It's just way too retarded to actually get invested in and the melodramatic nature of his video as well makes it a total chore to get through.

If you think this guy is an actual asshole that bullies 17 years or something then the most entertaining approach would obviously be to make fun of him as well.

But these guys take this "super sad let's cancel him for his crimes" approach which is just incredibly gay that isn't entertaining to get through nor will do anything in the long run as we've seen with the release of Chapter 2.
