And by "hit-and-run", I mean coming out of nowhere, insulting someone and then running and never coming back to confront the person. The four people above mistreated me for the terrible crime of speaking my mind, and I'd be lying if I wrote that I wasn't upset by this. Even though I should expect this kind of behavior all the time, I'm not like most of the people on here. I can't just suck it up and move on, like nothing ever happened. I have to talk about it, otherwise it's just going to bother me for the remainder of my day. And I'd rather the rest of my day not be ruined by a bunch of people I don't even know lobbing crap at me.
The racism, insults and overall incapability of listening to others and giving others a chance to explain themselves is something I've gotten used to on the Internet. But the intensity of the hate and disdain people have on this website just made me feel a way that I just have to talk about. Especially since these people can't be bothered to respond back to me. I don't want to try and control what anyone says or does to me, because it's up for other people to understand what's right from wrong. But I do wish the people on this site were nicer. These four people serve as a fine example of how toxic this website can be. If I knew it was going to be this bad, I don't think I would've ever made an account here.
You've got to remember the human being behind the computer screen. You won't get anywhere, treating people more like animals than people. But, judging by the amount of racism on here, I'm not surprised this is the case.
