Pepsi should've just said nothing. It's not like they're going to lose money considering how many people drink it.

The people boycotting Pepsi are probably not the demo that normally buys name brand sodas. The SJW crowd is either in the Safeway Select/Sam's Club soda market or the twice distilled vegan sugar water with no GMO group

By the way, Pepsico is a fuckhuge company that makes more than just one brand of cola. They also produce Mt. Dew, Lay's/Walkers, Gatorade, 7 Up (outside the US), Doritos, Lipton, Quaker, Cheetos, Ruffles, the list goes on. Ignoring Pepsi, they still make billions of dollars each year. Boycotting them is useless.

Not to mention the shit they back-door operate through business partnerships like YUM! and some major aluminum and rubber manufacturers in the developing world. They even have managed to poach Rockstar to their bottlers from Coke not too long ago.

Softdrink companies are deceptively massive and are actually decent gainers for small scale investing

I asked someonewho regularly drinks Coke if Coke had done the same ad campaign would they have stopped drinking it, they said "I'd think about it". LOL

But yeah, now Pepsi is the Orwellian 1984 company. Just them.

Interesting thread...!

Any advertising exec worth his salt knows that if his advert can kick up a storm of protest and get people talking about the product...His pay bonus is assured.
Here in the land of kilts, our own national soda "Irn Bru" has a long heritage of triggering adverts that have been hugely successful...Here's some examples.

Didn't they have a Christmas-y one where the snowman killed the kid for the soda? It was a parody of some other Christmas special.

Edit: found it
