Silver will tarnish when exposed to air, will need to provide maintenance if they're out of a sealed container.

The 40mm containers most silver coins/rounds/whatever(fuck you) come in are usually made air tight to prevent tarnishing. If you take it out to play with or whatever, be sure to wipe it down as your hand oils are now on it (if you didn't glove up), before you put it back in the container.

Collectors pay extra for the tarnish. Really, it's called "toning". Best thing you can do is never to touch the faces (or any part of it really) with your bare hands. NEVER under any circumstances wipe, clean or polish it. These look like proof relief from the couple pics I;ve seen so even cloth gloves will leave scratches and scar the finish.

That's what I'll do if they actually arrive. I'd really like to send a couple to PCGS or NGC for grading just for fun. Not sure how they do generic medals though.

The medal needs activation. Unfortunately, the instructions for how to do this weren't included. Here they are:

1) Using a butter knife, pry open the plastic case
2) Carefully remove the coin being careful to handle it only by the edges.
3) Turn on the camera on your computer and start streaming.
4) Remove all your clothing.
5) Shove the medal up your ass being careful to maintain sharp focus on the stream.
6) Merge (preferably with your mother)
7) Archive your stream and post a link here.

Your medal is now activated. You can use it for its intended purpose now as long as you can reach in far enough to retrieve it.
