I have never purchased from a merch run before, but I would definitely do it this time if there are silver coins involved.

I'd get one or two maybe depending on the markup. The idea is as you said, kinda retarded, but it's also very creative, and something I could get behind instead of a run of the mill tshirt run. (Besides; If all else fails, we can melt it down and sell it)

If silver coins are not going to happen, maybe something like arcade tokens? I am not sure how many people are buying these because they are silver vs buying them for novelty, but for me novelty is more important.

I've been debating what to do for the next merch run and due to the memes of the day I'm looking into a custom silver round mint.

First idea I have was
Front: KF logo and and the text "Kiwi Farms" above / "Fuck the Banks", below
Reverse: CWC's head in profile with a tiara like the Queen of England on Commonwealth coin mints with "In Sonichu we Trust"

Someone suggested $5 over spot for the coin as a sales price (i.e. $27.22 per oz [spot price], $5 markup, then shipping).

I'm not being facetious I am an insane person and I want to mint my own coins for fun. How many people are interested?

Whether or not this goes through depends heavily on manufacturing and what they have as minimum orders.
So, if you happen to be in the industry, email me <jcmoon@pm.me>.

Edit: Quote 1 came in and it's looking pretty dire.
I would like to suggest you offer different denominations with higher denominations being more pricey.

The currency will of course be autism.

If silver is too high (it is), there are candy companies that will make chocolate coins, and put a custom logo on the foil.
You can then include a morale patch, or some custom chips. Tasty candy, and a morale patch/poker chip.
I've been down this road with my guild. HMU for ideas.

The price of precious metal work is way too high, and I personally don't think there's enough margin to make selling custom silver coins worth it. On the other hand, chinesesium challenge coins without any value are are kind of lame. What I'd suggest is a challenge coin with a qr code for a Bitcoin wallet private key, with around ~$10 or so worth of Bitcoin on it to make it worth something, but not unaffordable.

Something like this, but with more autism, and not necessarily gold plated or anything:

Plus we would get the joy of some retard sharing pictures of their new coin and not realizing you're not supposed to show off the private key on the back.
