Do either of them have any special knowledge of the countries they hope to visit or the widget experts they hope to cover? No. Do they own or are they able to operate audio-visual equipment beyond "holding up a cellphone?" Also no. Are they neglecting to visit one of *the* major centers of worldwide widget making, even though it's right there? Yes. Does this seem like a flimsy cover for a crowdfunded vacation? Absolutely.

This was the website that was considered awful enough to be awarded awful link of the day on three separate occasions. Some parts of the site are still available in the internet archive, so you can see this masterpiece of 1990s web design for yourself. It's everything you would expect from someone who devoted thousands of hours to mastering the geocities web builder tool. Animated gifs, moving text, shit flashing at you all over the place, membership in every webring that ever existed, dubious color scheme, etc. Beware if you are overly sensitive, this thing has potential to trigger seizures.
But his website wasn't just ugly, the content itself was also highly questionable. We all remember what a Dragon Ball Z shrine website looked like, right? Well imagine someone decided to build a giant network of such shrines and dedicated one to every Sega Genesis game they ever played. Now imagine the person in question has especially shitty taste in games, even for someone who plays Sega Genesis. Want to see a shrine for every single entry in the Golden Axe series, some shit-tier RPG called Rings of Power and about a hundred other games you never knew existed? Paulos had you covered.
That was all Something Awful needed to know to declare him an awful link of the day (3x times). But actually there was so much more to the story of this guy. He was a massive asshole with delusions of grandeur who managed to alienate every single human being he ever interacted with. But lo, this is not the end of the tale. Thanks to the wonder of Google search and the fact that I was able to remember the correct spelling of his last name, I found out what became of him after the end of his Game Legacies. To the great surprise of absolutely no one, he was a neckbearded incel diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses.
But the best part is this: At the age of 29 he lost his virginity to his psychologist!

Dialogue would likewise break down between Kelvin and his family.
