There's drama about LPT_Kusa, the guy who makes plushies for them, getting blocked and basically blacklisted because he tweeted at a cosplayer to cosplay Sakana. It's a pretty bad look for Phase tbh.

There you go @Howling Janny Dog , this is what we've all been missing - Sakana blocked some guy on Twitter. That's way juicier than jilted exes, plastic surgery accusations, crypto-judaism, international stalking, and ongoing threats of breaking alleged NDAs/HROs.

Bullshitting aside, QRD on this @whatsupwthat ? I'm vaguely familiar with this kusa guy, but I thought he(?) was making unofficial con merch. I guess it's an ugly look to be fighting with enthusiastic fans, if that's actually what happened.

Sure.

This all went down when a cosplay thot decided to do one of those engagement bait posts on twitter, saying that she'll cosplay the person suggested in the most liked reply. Kusa replied with a picture of Sakana but the cosplayer hid the reply and pretended like nothing happened, and chose a less liked tweet to cosplay.

She did the same with others suggesting vtubers, and blocked them, Kusa and anyone who called her out for hiding the replies. After enough backlash she deleted the tweet and privated her account. As a response, a different cosplayer also made a poll on which character to cosplay, using this controversy as a way to shit on the original cosplayer, and Kusa suggested Sakana there as well and it won.

And now, in yesterday's cooking stream Shiina would go on a rant about this situation, vaguely referencing "Phase fans harassing cosplayers for not cosplaying Phase characters" and said that the talents are forced to "not represent" their creations because of such behavior. Timestamp 3:20:17

Doesn't seem like it's a company-wide ban though since Kusa was interacting with Pippa and Jelly before this stream happened.
It all just seems like a very bad look, because you have others like Luwud sexpesting everyone about Phase and he goes unpunished, but Kusa gets ostracized over the smallest controversy that he didn't even start. Sakana wasn't the only character she refused to cosplay as, and she hid the replies of a lot of people, and that's mostly the reason why she got shat on.

This is one of the few things I hate about vtubing in general - this sort of forced hatred of fans for breaking rules that are only there because japs have them. Well, and to, of course, selectively enforce them (if the rule is written out as not all are) and to then shit on your own fans. Go through any talents' ruleset and see if you can recall any being consistently enforced.

and its why people are going to be mad at shiina for throwing the fans under the bus and rightly so. its one thing if the cosplayer was a random person, but she wasnt, phase paid her to cosplay at a con and she gained phase fans as fans for herself. ostensibly, the fans paid for the cosplayer to be a huge cunt. in the wnd kevski is the smartest person for not wanting to get involved with this shit.

I mean, I don't see why she couldn't ignore it. I mean, not the first time for Phase. Didn't something similar happen a year or so back with Pippa? I know she had a sperg meltdown over the horsegirl stuff some year ago back, but I think there was something else too.

It's one thing when your oshi makes fun of you wherein you both want that/understand its a joke. I think Lia has that with her fans, right? And Lumi and her fans can get rough to one another. But it's completely different when the oshis/talents have a woman moment and decide to shit on you for no reason. Like, for example, Jelly would have been 100% justified in bringing down the hammer over all that jugget saga. I think everyone understands that. There were retards making things bad for everyone including to Jelly's own fans. But this is different. It's just some hoe getting buttmad that people didn't choose cosplays from a list that existed in her mind alone, and for some retarded reason Phase fans are to blame.
