Is it just me or it feels like almost everyone in phase is lowkey celebrating Clara's exit to the company? None of them seems to acknowledge her graduation at all.

Both lefties and right-wingers have projected onto Pippa, for the left they've imagined her as some dog-whistling far-right bigot who leads an army of chuddie fans. For the right they've imagined Pippa as some based, unwavering ideological crusader who became a Vtuber so she can spend her time constantly battling online trannies and breadtubers. Really she's just the average liberal woman who occasionally finds online leftists distasteful when they act like insane ghouls. And ultimately her job as part of Phase is to maintain a devoted following and bring revenue while not drawing too much controversy, which will always take priority.
Sorry for the autistic tangent, but people should take into account the life stories of the people they follow if they want to understand their mindset.

Pippa is a late millennial / early zoomer nerd who grew up in rural America (but relatively close to California, both geographically and ideologically) whose parents never restricted her Internet access as a kid. Her parents are white trash, she has multiple siblings who also are; but at the same time she grew up consuming liberal propaganda and was groomed by a furry from age 14 until a couple of years after joining Phase Connect.

Jelly is a bit younger than Pippa, but she’s an ethnic Chinese person raised in Malaysia (oversimplifying what other posters have said, Chinese people are kind of the equivalent of Jews in SEA countries). She’s an only child, her parents are rich and supposedly want her to inherit their business. As a kid she had some kind of illness that forced her to spend long periods in the hospital playing videogames and consuming content someone from her social background normally wouldn’t. That made her develop interests that don’t really fit her upbringing (programming, music, and arts in general).

It’s normal for both of them to be weird people. It’s normal for Pippa to be a liberal who laughs at the lunatics on her side, and with enough curiosity to have gone on and interacted with Kiwifarms and lolcows like Ralph or Rekieta. It’s normal for Jelly to be what Westerners would consider a far-right racist, believe in eugenics, and feel empathy for her chud followers while doing things most true conservatives would never care about.

Or it could all just be a very elaborate grift by both of them.

I think Clara leaving is pretty funny, but also sad.. This is from someone who used to enjoy her streams. She definitely deserves the ridicule but I would have preferred her learning to overcome the worst parts of herself. She’s a radical, miserable commie who worships a conservative country like Japan while holding antithetical views of diversity. Out of all the Phase members she’s the one I feel the most sad for.

Unfortunately this is the type of society the pseudo-religious lefties have created. You can do your job perfectly but one wrong opinion on your personal account, and your whole professional career is over. Sowing and reaping. The pendulum is swinging and Clara’s the first of many.

Edit: you guys keep talking shit about Sakana’s behavior but 80% of you faggots could not properly maintain even half the size of a company like Phase lmao

Maybe for the EN side. I haven't really bothered to check the JP side yet, so maybe they feel more sad. Either that or the remaining Kaleido members were really good at keeping up appearances in that one collab they had last month.

Fellas, Dizzy said that she wants to put all the jorbs in a bathtub and sit in it before shipping them. S-should I buy a jorb?

She streamed mostly in English in her tenure in Phase despite having a Japanese manager. I don't think she has any actual Japanese fans at all.
There's a small number, like that specific variant of frog that lives in some specifc puddle deep in the Amazon rainforest that's on the verge of extinction for decades.

Jokes aside, the Kaleido girls at least seem like they have fun around her, so it's entirely possible that Clara refrained from showing her ugly personality around them.

No you should buy the 100 count to improve your odds to basically guaranteed status

Nah, though some of them surely can't stand her because she was shitty to them. We could make a list. It's only a few.

But it's like when Gura and Mumei left Hololive and nobody freaked out (except fans). Regardless of the other girls' feelings about it, they all "went through it" long ago. Clara effectively quit before anyone out here was mad at her, and before she started doing mean-girl shit to the other girls (as far as we know).

Fans noticed. It was old news to everybody who cared—except that one poor Japanese bastard who didn't understand.

My schizo rrat is that the idiosyncrasies and apparent contradictions in Pippa's beliefs are the result of her blindly adopting her groomer ex's political opinions, and the years since have been a process of sorting out which beliefs are actually her own and which were impressed upon her or affected in an effort to be accepted. Which as a woman basically means becoming less lib/right and more auth/left.

Not saying it isn't, but Airi and Sakana always seem to be feuding.

I think Pippa and her views are far more defined by class than by politics. She's from a semi-rural "white trash" background in a primarily white area (with some hispanic, but few blacks), for whom the internet represented the Big Wide World growing up. She absorbed sympathy for some Causes that were big online, probably partially out of belief that they were legitimately what elevated, non-podunk people believed, partly out of wanting to align with something not associated with her upbringing, but those aren't where her instincts run to and she was never deep enough into them to go "all the way".
Out of all the Phase members she’s the one I feel the most sad for.
Save your sympathy for Muyu and Dizzy's family situations, Airi's day job situation and Final Destination curse when driving, or the whole world (including her own decision-making processes) being out to kill Remi. Not to mention Tenma and Shiina's fertility situations. Clara's problems are of her own making.
