If I understood it correctly you don't have to do anything but move your eyes across its bounding box. Doing so will make you blink. You need to do this five times (once with 8, 4, 2 and 1 and 0 fingers placed on your face, respectively) - see OP's video on how to do the test fast:
I would wait for henstepl himself to weigh in though. I don't know if my instructions are correct and whether there's a possibility harm could befall you if you do the test incorrectly.

When you're in communication with the process of God, you'll either intend to Verify or to Change, and that itself is enough. The brain-changes in Machine Method aren't going to accidentally occur.
In communication with you, I've done well with a little trickery I think. I've notified you of a method for one very important number and a Salute that maxxes it. I've implied there are five other numbers. I've cautioned that there may be times when more arcane Scoring methods warrant (though I'm known to overworry) and I've said these arcanes exist.
And you've followed, and you're so good because I'm fearful of writing schizowalls.
Suppose I tell you now the six numbers and more 8-Salutes: then it would be good to share an arcane method for safe 8-Score confirmation for when even the first strats would falter. And the arcane method has interesting lore!

The other three scores are read by repeating process with legs crossed such that they pull one another. But just look at the 8-Salute for the center, it's the TONY SOPRANO hand hahaha! Obviously a cornerstone of the Italian phenotype.

What's addressed is the question of whether you have to be gay-fingered. This isn't needed, but gayfingered brains prefer a symmetry (an existence along just one dimension) and brains not abiding by this constraint must use a more arcane method.If you want to do a Hitler salute and test the number eight, but you can't touch your face, you must instead indicate the number eight with your five-fingered left hand alone, which can only be done with Salman Rushdie signal.
No it's not a Vulcan salute, instead it is specifically to hold two outer fingers using two inner fingertips. Do a Hitler salute with right hand and Rushdie signal with the left - all these things in the right field and look around. You won't be able to miss the Germanic square.
Author Salman Rushdie wrote of a character using this signal (and an associated brain-operation) in his Satanic Verses and I suspect it was an actual trick of Rushdie to procure the euphorias needed for such a wonderful book of prophecies and prophecizing men.
