It was an interesting read until I got to this:Mozilla Firefox: Don't use it,,, just, dont.
Anyway, if Mozilla wants an "open web" in the freetard kind of way, they should work towards killing capitalism, since that is the source of "closed practices" and most of the other problems of the world.
Marxism aside, I do give the author credit for this stance:
They have this thing called Mozilla Information Trust Initiative (archive) (see the manipulation there?) which will allegedly battle disinformation and fake news - but around here, we call that censorship. They intend to use their own inventions like Pocket, Focus, and Coral to push certain stories and block others
The stance that 'fighting misinformation = censorship" is getting rarer among leftists, it seems to be an older left-libertarian crowd (Stallman) and a few idealists who still believe it.
