Whenever Ralph is in California he constantly has to inform people " I'm here to see my son ". It doesn't really make up for living like a hermit in a shack in Mexico.

On two sperate occasions Ralph has said he was fully committed to taking his own life, but then he got to play hot wheels with a toddler which made him reconsider. A lot of parents say their kids our "my world", but Xander is Ralph's psychological load bearing child.

That's cute that Ralph thinks he's going to outlive her. Sure, she's possibly at risk of her father-bf murdering her, because men that fuck their daughters are legitimately psychotic, but everyday that Ralph wakes up from sleep is a miracle for him.

I think it's simply that a woman told him 'no'. Historically, Ralph always gets angriest when a woman doesn't do what he wants. By the time Grace realises Ralph's worth, he'll be having some other mentally damaged woman cleaning up his piss.

Reproducing is used by a lot of fuck ups as a way to signal they are accomplished. Having a family is the one thing they can say they are proud of. For Ralph it is arguably the closest thing he has to a win in his mind.

Its still a matter of debate whether leaving your offspring to survive on its own in the world a better accomplishment than drinking propaganda koolaid and not reproducing at all. I think its a tie, both slightly above killing your own child.
