🐷 The Great Gunt Bounty Hunt: Redux - Ralph is on the run and is lulled into a false sense of security as another seething pig takes to Twitter to do what he never could.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Let's examine the new photos we have of the entire room from Friday afternoon.

There is a window behind Ralph with door visible on the adjacent wall. The window itself is extremely brightly illuminated with sunlight. It certainly appears that Ralph is sitting in a room which is not in the shade at the time he was streaming in the direct path of the sun.

Remember that Los Heroes is a recently built cookie cutter suburb on the outskirts of Merida. That means that a large part of the houses are literally identical, chosen from a small set of floor plans.

Ralph outed himself as likely living in a two bedroom, one bath house in Los Héroes that is either 700 or 797 square feet. He has converted one of the bedrooms into his streaming room and set up his Alienware in the closet.

Here's the details:

Comparison #1: Random Airbnb property

The below two photos are taken of such a property in Los Heroes taken from Airbnb. I do not believe this is the new Casa Ralph, but the floor plan should be the same or almost the same The one Harry Morris posted has a similar floor plan.

If you look up Los Heroes on rental listing sites or short term rental platforms such as Airbnb, you will find a lot of houses that look exactly like this. Not all, but a ton of them are exact copies of each other or close to it. I believe the equivalent of the window to the right of Ralph is the window beside the bed. In the Airbnb photo there is a cabinet placed in the closet area. In Ralph's setup, his laptop is set up either directly inside the closet area or maybe a little further into the room where the bed is placed in the Airbnb. Ralph himself is probably sitting somewhere near where the bed is.

Matching door and door handle:

ralph_door.jpg

Let's compare the window in that Airbnb to the window in Ralph's streaming room.

Ralph's window is extremely washed out with sunlight relative to comparison photos of similar houses. I have altered the image to try to minimize the amount of glare from the sunlight entering into Ralph's window and added a rough outline of the window itself, because it is harder to tell with Ralph's place because there is much more sunlight coming into his window. Looking at the bottom of both windows, it appears that both rooms have a very similar barred window pattern where the lowest horizontal bar is located at approximately 5% of the total height of the window. In the Airbnb (left side of image), there are two other horizontal bars, but in Ralph's room they are likely being washed out from the sunlight glare which is more extreme at the higher parts of the window.

Comparison #2: Rental listing posted by grandfather of Rozy Morris

One of the houses that will look very similar to Ralph's is the one from the rental listing that Harry Morris posted. Here's the video tour of that house. Now that we have a full picture of Ralph's streaming room, we know it can't be his because not only does the curtain not match, the owners of the property Harry Morris posted have painted the bedroom doors something other than the sickly green color that the home probably came with.

However, the floor plan appears to be very similar. In particular, Ralph appears to be sitting in the closet of one of the bedrooms:

The exact floor plan is important. With the help of satellite imagery of the Harry Morris-posted house and the video tour, I created a rough floor plan of the property. I would describe the little hallway between the Bathroom and Bedroom 1 as more of an alcove than a room, but it is described as a living room in the rental listing.

Doors are indicated by gaps in the walls. Windows are shaded in red and green. The green windows are the windows in each of the two bedrooms which are in the right location to possibly match the window displayed in Ralph's streaming setup. Other windows are shaded in red. The house is listed as being 64m² or approximately 690ft².

ralph_morris_floorplan.jpg

In this case, with the house on the north side of the street, the front door is at the south side of the house. The two windows which correspond to where the window in Ralph's stream would be are facing east.

Examining satellite imagery of Los Heroes, a large fraction of the houses appear to be a identical shapes and jut out slightly at the entrance, where Bedroom 1 is labelled above. It's specifically the Bedroom 1 closet.

Comparison #3: Actual floor plans

It turns out that it's possible to do one better, since there is a website by who I presume to be the developer who actually has all of the house models listed with photos and floor plans.

There are four models: Izamal, Uxmal, Mayapan, and Valladolid. The Mayapan and Valladolid models are two-story homes with three bedrooms, which I think can be safely ignored.

That leaves Izamal and Uxmal.

house_models.png

(EDIT: these prices are in Mexican Pesos)

Modelo Izamal

The property Harry Morris posted is immediately recognizable as an Izamal, the cheapest model, though I think it's a little older and the design of the newer homes as displayed on the website has been updated as they continue to build more houses. The Izamal (archive) is listed as 65m² or approximately 700 square feet.

The floor plans from the developer match what I came up with. The windows which are potential matches to Ralph's window are circled in green.

izamal.jpg

Modelo Uxmal

Uxmal (archive) is listed as 74m² or 797 square feet.

The bedroom in the lower left of the floor plan for the Uxmal is very similar to the bedroom in the lower left of the floor plan for the Izamal, with a potentially matching window circled in green. The second bedroom in the Uxmal only has one window, and it is in the wrong location to be the window appearing on Ralph's stream.

The Uxmal bedrooms also have the house extend out slightly where the closet is supposed to be where I believe Ralph has set up shop. I believe that Ralph may be living in an Uxmal because I've noticed that all of the rental listings that have that weird ceiling thing appear to be Uxmal model homes, or at least I haven't found any that are Izamals.

Determining the direction of the window

I noticed that the window itself in the screengrab from Ralph's stream was extremely washed out and appears to be directly illuminated by sunlight. I asked in chat when Ralph showed his room on stream and was told it was not long after starting streaming for the day, when he was talking about Sneako, around or just after 3:00pm local time.

The window in Ethan Ralph's room was receiving a ton of sunlight. In fact, it was so bright that the metal bars on the window weren't even visible, totally washed out by light. The only bar that was just barely visible was the one at the bottom of the window where the glare was less extreme.

At that time of day at this time of year, under 3 hours before sunset, the sun has started to lower in the sky (36° elevation angle) and the solar azimuth is approximately 232°. This means that shadows are being cast to the northeast. As a result, only windows facing south or west could be directly illuminated with sunlight. A window facing north or east would be in the shade and would be unlikely to be be totally illuminated like Ralph's window was:

sunlight_3pm.pngshadows_3pm.png

How do we get from the floor plan above to something that matches Ralph's setup AND matches the sunlight conditions at the time of the image?

Here's some visuals of how to transform the floor plan so that the relevant window faces west or south. I added blue at the front door to better illustrate direction.

Two of the Uxmal possibilities are ruled out by the Ralph stream screengrab itself as Ralph is sitting in a position where he can look behind him to his left to see the window and behind him to his right to see the door.

ralph_rotating.jpgralph_rotating_uxmal_refined.jpg

What does it mean?

Consider the below satellite image from Los Heroes.

The vast majority of Los Heroes is ruled out, as the vast majority of houses are on streets that go east to west, and most of the houses on the north side are pointed like the house Harry posted (highlighted in red in the image below) with the relevant windows facing east, while the houses on the south side of the roads appear to be identical but flipped vertically instead of being rotated 180°, meaning that the side bedroom windows are still pointing east.

The area around the property Harry Morris posted is a little weird compared to most of Los Heroes (most streets are directly east-west) but a typical section is highlighted in blue in the image below. Even for houses that are pointed in the correct direction, the bedroom windows would likely be covered by shade by 3pm, because most of the houses are no more than a few feet apart, and most of them have surrounding walls much taller than the distance between the houses anyway, or at least the earlier built homes as I think they've stopped building walls.

This means you would need something like the house in green which is on an angle with more space west of the house than most of the lots (this is not the right house, I will explain why after).

ralph_map.jpg

The problem is with the Uxmal model house highlighted in green is that based on the shape of the house and what we know of the floor plan of these houses, the relevant bedroom windows for that house are pointing northeast (the right side of the house) and therefore would be in the shade. If it was flipped around such that the bedroom windows were to the left side, it would be a possible match to Ralph.

western_window_green_house_wrong.jpg

Expect Ralph to be living in a corner lot or a lot on a diagonal where there is more open space to the western or southern sides of the house.

What's the deal with those million dollar prices? They've got dollar signs, but are those in pesos? Are those just to build a certain number of units? Even around here, building something like that isn't anywhere close to a million.
I think they are in pesos. If you convert the currency, the first one in that image is 65928.99 in US dollars, and the second one is 73247.93 in US dollars.

Yes. Pesos. Equivalent to about $66,000 for the Izamal and $73,000 for the Uxmal.

They must have increased their prices dramatically however. I had pulled the mortgage records for the original Airbnb in Los Heroes where Ralph stayed at originally in late 2022, which had been purchased by its owner in 2019, and the mortgage amount was half the price, MXN$566,200, about $29.4k using the historical exchange rate or $33k at current exchange rates.

In fairness, the interior and exteriors of the newer builds appear to be higher quality, even if the floor plans are the same. If Ralph is in the older builds. that would be closer to the west. since they are building to the north and east as they continue to build more houses.

If you have any questions about Mexican homes, let me know, I'll answer them the best that I can.

I know Ralph does this to himself by baiting everyone but you've got to wonder what it feels like when the sun is a-logging you.

Look at this paint job.

Nice ceiling fan, I bet it keeps the room at a livable temperature during Mexican summer.

Basically, it narrows down to these two:
Modelo Izamal
Modelo Uxmal

It's one of these shitty JVC Roku TVs that are around $400, not sure what he's bragging about since he doesn't even own it.

How many did he have to arrive at this conclusion?
Anyway.

Several locations across this region.

So it's one of the two here:

So here it is, not the best representation but a decent match.

A thermostat that says "X My Veni"?

With an approximate location gathered all that's needed now is for a Mexican ayylawg to drive around looking for the Rojo beast parked in front. Hell, certain American parties may even be willing to pay some dinero for the information. 🤔
IIRC, there was this one guy in this forum that lived in Merida. He went to Casa Verde and took a video outside. I would do it, but I don't live close to Merida.

There is a large possibility that's it's not even painted. It could be the plaster that came with the house. Most houses here are made with concrete blocks, but use plaster to give some insulation and give it a smoother texture to the wall.

A thermostat that says "X My Veni"?
Not a thermostat, but a ceiling fan controller.

When referring to something being very clean do Mexicans just say it's "us-and-span"?
Yes

Actually taking a better look at it. It doesn't match up. The one in the Leonardo Valle Colony seems to be matching up with the GPS.

The streets (blue lines) line up with what is on GPS, and Manuel Berzunza avenue (red line) shows up as a major street/avenue/highway on his GPS. If you look at the map, that Mítica location seems to be near Los Heroes (the grey blob in the jungle in the upper right).
