I wonder how much of his "full wild boar mode" comes from having his back up against a wall:

- He's owes a LOT of money. That hude amount increased by a LOT MORE when he married Pantsu.
- If he can't keep getting continuances it really looks like he's going down over the diary thing or at least he's scared of going down for it.
- He's failed to have the power bill paid on time. Twice.
- He's getting pissed off over problems in getting ahold of his own money on a timely basis.

Ralph holds bottle of liquor vertically in an atempt to pour the rest of the drink in a glass. Get's alogged by flow restrictor, few drops get stuck in the restrictor. Ralph grabs a pliers and starts chipping away on the plastic menace. Chips glass in the process, pours it in the glass together with 3 drops of liquor he was fighting for. You all would have killed yourself if you had to go thru what Ralph has to go thru. Reaches with his hand in a glass to pick out glass shards, or he would die. Glass shards keep alogging him. Throws them across the room. Yes his room is not just bottles, cans and rotten tuna, it's literal glass shards. Hope he steps on them.



If this was the last bottle of hard liquor he has in the house, this may become real interesting real fast.

That really depends on the facility and the physician dealing with you. A Psychiatrist with a nuanced understanding of benzodiazepine abuse that is physically located at the facility is going to take a different approach than an Internist 150 miles away teleconferencing with a PA or Nurse on site. You are more likely to encounter the former at treatment facilities or maybe even clinics catering to low security offenders while you will almost certainly encounter the latter at county jails or detention centers. If you are seeing a Psychiatrist in a higher security setting, it is because you are smearing feces on the wall or picking large swaths of skin off your forearm to remove Israeli nanobots; fat junkies just don’t merit the attention unless they are dealing with some gnarly, drug induced psychosis.

Don’t forget that the Internist is trying to practice medicine in an environment where anything that can be exploited for any amount of personal gain will be. You have to factor in that people will fake a benzo addiction in the hopes of getting a dose of clonazepam that they can fake ingesting and ultimately conceal, until they can sell or trade the pill. Because of the risks of benzodiazepine withdrawal, you just have to take people at face value and provide an appropriate level of care while mitigating chances of exploitation.

That can take the form of an intramuscular injection of chlordiazepoxide. The shot is painful and your body doesn’t absorb in an even manner, but it will prevent the most serious symptoms of withdrawal and keep you alive. The downside is that some symptoms will persist and make your stay in jail more uncomfortable and more dangerous.

If we switched the context to a Mexican jail, your guess is as good as mine. I have zero knowledge of how white Americans are dealt with in that scenario and what level of medical care is even feasible in that environment.

Not even $200 yet and almost 7 hours in? What happened, Ralph? He used to pull that in easy around 4 hours max.
