He knows it is deep down. The thing is though, is he needs to keep this whole thing running on fumes as long as possible. He has no skills, no work history, no muscle for physical labor, no money management skills, no family to fall back on, no real assets to flip on a rainy day, no good investments, no friends that would bail him out, can't possibly find a woman with solid income desperate enough to support/fuck him, can't possibly find a man with solid income desperate enough to support/fuck him, can't possibly find a tranny with solid income desperate enough to support/fuck him.

When this is over, he truly starts from less than what a 16 year old student does. He's well and truly fucked

So this may be kind of dumb, but whatever. Over the past couple of weeks I've been going over old IBS era stuff, and a few days ago I came across a stream I had forgotten about but now totally remember listening to live:
8,500 people watching. Money rolling in, chat isn't full of [MESSAGE DELETED]. All-star cast with appearances from Ralph, Gator, Zidan, Jim, Dame, Andy, Keemstar, the Quartering, Ian Miles Chong, WildGoose Thomas Ellington, Memeology. Maybe not constantly funny, but its 3 half hours of non-superchat content.
Off the top of my head, notable things:
-Shitting on Mundane Matt and the Skeptics.
- IMC comes on the explain his doxing of Goose, Goose comes on with some solid deadpan humor. Also Zidan gets some burns in. BITCOIN ASSASSINS
-Everyone bullies IMC to reveal that Mombot was the one setting up the dox.
-Andy comes on to talk about the Pedo allegations against him being proven to be an op. Andy calls out Tonka for running with the story, which sets up the long road to Knoxsville.
-Andy and IMC make up and tickle each others balls, which leads to their second blowup where IMC SWATs Andy
-Gator Tells a Tonka joke about dead air that actually lands. (Going through old shows, this is very rare)
-Jim links to some crazy guy who photoshops himself into old game shows.
-Ralph, who is drunk but is holding it together, defends having Null on after fans are mad that Jim got doxed.
-Everyone listens to the extend audio of Thomas Smellington get smacked by his wife for stinking so bad it's soaking into the upholstery.
-Thomas the Stank Engine comes on to try and save his nascent streaming carrier and only embarrasses himself
-Ralphs drops a hard R
-The Quarterling comes on and embarrasses himself trying to defend Youtubers shilling for Better Help (G-Fuel just as bad as fake therapy)

Now to be fair to Ralph, having this much stuff in one show was never sustainable with the rate that people were getting burned through, Youtube was never going to let that kind of content go on forever, and Jim was important enough that Ralph was in trouble once Metokur decided to make his own sheckles.

But compare that that to tonight. 400 "people" watching, chat being swept up as hard as possible. More boring boilerplate stuff about the corona vaccine. Ralph having to dance around the clip of himself in Vegas. Seeing his porcine face against and a bed sheet. The same old same old voices saying the same old thing. No fun, no content, no hope

thats whats sort of hilarious about ralph trying to dick up his life. ralph was really a great host like Jim said. the problem is he didn't realize it was a different definition.

Ralph is a terrible host as in a carol burnett/Redbar-esque showman. but he was excellent as like that dude you went to school with that had a basement. that type of host he's amazing at. and i use that example because thats what i like to imagine the golden age of the killstream would have been IRL, Gator opens the door to whatever creatins want in, Ralph greets them and then sits back down in a drunken state. Zidan is giving people topics and the guests/callers all give their thoughts near yelling over each other.

Remember election night, it went from the usual suspects cheering on another red wave, to an hour later helping jim plan with drama alert to entrap the quartering, then Emily Youcis comes in talking about politics again and everyone looks at her because we all moved on from that. Its like a fucking sitcom plot but playing out in real time. especially with emily clearly having researched and spent time watching what was going on that night, while over on the killstream we heard Andy stutter his way through another half-baked idea.

if you really counted how much ralph actually contributed to his show, outside of introducing people or saying whatever Zidan had prepared for him, he didn't do shit. And thats what Jim liked, Jim thought Ethan was the best host because Ethan was the equivalent of the latch key kid with alcoholic parents, and a basement with a billiard table and pool. All Ethan did was read superchats, introduce guests/callers, and rarely commentate on the events transpiring.

Now look at Ralph, live screaming, has a camera on his face, talking about his personal life and having the show centered around it. During the height of the killstream no one knew what the fuck ralph was doing in his personal life, the closet we got was him drinking at applebees instead of doing a show once.

He was supposed to steer the ship like Opie, instead he became a poor, sad lonely drunk with a spinner girlfriend like Ant. A laughing stock, and a shit roaster. People watched because thats the place everyone went and where anything could happen, just like O&A, Jim could drop by or battle beagle or the quartering. now its TACS. we all know what's going to happen and who's going to be there, and both have been played out.

Honestly Ethan should just combine forces with Ant, they're the same guy a generation apart. Also i didn't realize just how popular the killstream was, i remember 2k viewers on dlive, and a bit more on stream.me, 8k on a special night. sure he was #1 on youtube, but i didn't realize he was getting that many viewers per night. Metokur got like 20k viewers for goodbye carl IIRC. which means the killstream was within spitting distance of even him.

A gunt bot could be made to deep fake his voice, but one can just listen to dolphins engaging in gang rape or squealing trains.

My response to Kramer: Ralph was never a good host. Ralph is a man who almost by happenstance briefly found himself at the center of something interesting, and for that reason foolishly concluded that he was interesting. He based his whole life on this fundamental misapprehension. What we’re seeing is the tragic result of that: a man who has no business playing “host” has transformed himself into a public laughing stock for our amusement.

Agreed, Cumia might be a creep and completely insane but there was a point when he was entertaining, Ralph has never had a shred of talent.

Continuing the conversation, I think Kramer is right insofar that Ralph reminds me of a guy from high school I knew that had a pool table in his basement. He too was ugly, fat, retarded, and drank way too much. Unlike Ralph, however, he did actually care about his kids and friends.

What I'm saying is that Ethan Ralph has the same energy as a high school burnout and a similar level of talent, but isn't as likeable.

It helps when you have friends worth caring about. Ralph has surrounded himself with drug addled manchildren and hedonistic sociopaths. His first child was with an 18 year old methhead and his second was with a mentally stunted Pedophile. This is his legacy. He has no attachment because I think he knows deep down that it's nothing to be proud of.
