Except that’s not really how it goes. Occasionally some old timer will use the words “you should” or “you need to,” but it’s a no-no to give people advice in meetings unless they specifically request it. People generally share their experience, what worked for them, what didn’t, etc. Meetings are not IRL advice columns, thank God.

Ralph would love meetings, I think. They’re certainly the only place he’ll get both attention and sympathy these days.

Nick has been making excuses for Baked Alaska's embarrassing behavior for years because they're friends, so I can believe if he really considers Ralph a friend for some reason he wouldn't give him the boot without some perceived personal betrayal. Nick seems similar to Ralph with his views on "loyalty" (in a less wigger/girlishly sensitive way).

I didn't even consider if he's using Meigh to get some other crazy pills that she may be prescribed to or could be prescribed. Not that any of it would surprise me.
