I listened to that episode. While fun, it was rife with the same hubris that made Myles come off so poorly on Friday. It was mostly just laughing and going 'wow oh wow look how dumb he is!' It turns out that tactic didn't work well in the actual debate.

He wasn't prepared to handle the subjects he was supposed to be debating, he was not famliiar with Adam Green's stuff nor had he read the books that he was deriding. He knew everything, but could explain nothing. Right out of the gate he was unduly aggressive and dismissive, and never backed down from that attitude. By the point where out of nowhere he claimed Adam had 'daddy issues' it was really all over for him. Up until then he had not been able to back up any of his beliefs or knock down any of Adams points, and after that his behavior was that of pouting, puerile jerk.

If it weren't for Randbot it would have been a total loss for him. Randbot saved him, somewhat. It would have been better for Randbot to tackle that debate altogether, as he was on a more comparable intellectual footing with Adam.

That debate reminds me of the one where Striker got his ass handed to him by Destiny. Striker also showed up unprepared and had apparently put little thought into the positions he was proffering. He also was left sputtering and sounding like an idiot.aa

I have listened to the Godcast review similar issues by themselves in the past and was annoyed at their reliance on circular reasoning and smug know-it-all attitudes, but I really thought Myles would have put up a better showing. His babbling, petty, childish performance is so humiliating that he should never offer to speak with authority on anything ever again.

Myles is a fan of Fagmenco and an anime weeb so it’s not really a surprise that he performed so badly.

It’s hilarious that Randbot of all people saved his ass.

I've listened to it twice now and will go back for another helping.

I've debated many atheists (and qanonces and pizzagators) and shat on them plenty back in my Reddit days -- not out of any sincere belief, I'm agnostic -- just mostly because they were smug pricks and I hated them for being such assholes, but none of them hold a candle to Myles Poland. I don't generally come across who are certified champion-grade cow material, the big ones are all well-documented here, but he definitely qualifies as one. Most people are just garden variety idiots like myself, but Myles is something special, something extraordinary.

I hope he goes back on the show again. I would toss cash at Ralph to make that happen. I don't care who they have on against Myles, just get him back on there!

even in 2018 Jim admitted to failing himself with how bad the TGWTG videos were, he didn't like how shit he was at covering the topics, and those were pretty much the last videos he did before switching to streaming essentially, which was a blatant cash grab move, even if he was basically doing the stream.me vids for free it was still basically promotions for when he did do youtube crap. people are amazed at how much Nick earned this week, Jim's sargon stream earned that much, Jim would do an hour of content and then 5 hours of superchats. for fucks sake he could very easily just do a superchat stream every month with how devoted people are to him, 0 content besides reading out people's superchats.

Thats why he opens the videos 12 hours before he actually streams, thousands of people will superchat hundreds of dollars before he even starts the stream. he's been making minimum since the pillstream 2.5 years ago. Thats one of the things people keep being amazed at, how he's spending money doesn't make sense if he's making that little, then guys like Haru show he's making $300 every time he streams, its bizare, i know in his d.live days ethan would always make sure to make 10k lino every stream, usually someone (probably him) would donate a shitload during the last half hour to get him over that bar, and that was roughly $88 a stream. the only thing that makes it worthwhile is ethan clearly doesn't pay a dime in taxes, so thats the equivilent of someone's net pay for a day, and when he was only doing 2.5/hr a show making $88 net wasn't too bad. that was one of the key points in the ongoing debate of "why doesn't ethan get a job"

Hell even now the idea of anywhere hiring Ethan for $18/hr to sit down not doing anything is absurd. that might be starting pay for a Petsmart/Petco in Long Beach but no where near Ethan is desperate enough to hire him to do nothing. if he's making $18/hr in richmond he's doing warehouse style hard labor, and Ethan has never worked a day in his fucking life. he can barely use a computer or drive a car, i wouldn't trust him around my fucking food.
