Ralph exhibits the most obvious telltale lie behaviors.

"I wish I was" is a classic. He's trying to show he had every good reason to be drunk and if he wanted to be drunk he would be, so you really should believe him that he's not.

"the truth actually looks worse for me!" Did this with the Antabuse. Said he'd rather people think he relapsed than took too much Antabuse. This is low-IQ manipulation, the thought being: if my haters think I'm actually taking a bigger L, they'll leave the truth alone.

"If I was gonna lie I'd have said..." this is my favorite because it's a 100% no-fail indicator of lying. People who tell the truth don't consider different lies and how they'd be perceived to come up with a "actually I would have lied better than this" defense.

Why do we believe in his antabuse story?The onl way i heard for it to work on a chronic alcoholic is to have someone actually check that the user takes it in the morning and to my understanding, the way to override it is to endure one hour of proper sickness, exploding body heat, ice cold fever with extreme sweats, puking and all that nice stuff... has he proved that he takes it or is it just one of those bullshit stories? I mean we would know if he took one, decided to abuse again mid stream...

No. Knowing Ralph best we can be hopeful for is he stopped drinking but increased his pills as a loophole for not drinking. Antabuse also interacts with Xanax and enhances its effects.

So if we take Ralph at his word (why would anyone do this?) and he is in Antabuse to stop drinking he’s definitely not stopping with his pills (because they’re legally prescribed as a matter of fact :diddler: )
