Matt's problem is that he seems to continue to want an online YouTube career, whilst at the same time realising it's not and never was a good idea for him. That aside, while I wouldn't personally want to be driving Uber Eats for my job - it's hardly a terrible fate. Matt gets up, probably takes his kid to school, puts in a shift, comes home to his wife and child who presumably love him.

Ralph wakes up hungover, has some makers mark to take the edge off of it, checks his threads - and as a result is reminded of who and what he is - and then has to speak to Pantsu, or whatever barely legal teen he's picked up from a women's shelter at the time, with whom he has no common interests and probably detests when she isn't naked. A bunch of us tried this during a PPP stream when he was up against Ralph. It seemed to work because PPPs numbers actually beat Ralph for a while and then slowly fell back down.

I think dlive just inflates numbers. It has nothing to do with bots or open tabs. Ralph might still be botting though and if that's the case then his actual viewer base has to be tiny.

While I take whatever Mundanematt says with a huge pinch of salt, working for the gig economy does rake in a lot of money if you put the hours in and are at a densely populated city. I can believe that Mundanematt is easily raking in more money than Ralph through superchat lemons via Dlive.

Mundanematt and @theralph aren't good in taking in good advice and they tend to make the worst possible decisions. However, I commend Mundanematt for at least giving up his Youtube career and concentrating on driving for Ubereats. Never mind that it is a dead end job, places himself at the mercy of Uber and unreasonable customers and not a career with prospects of advancement. It is still honest work and earns more than whatever @theralph is doing.

If Mundanematt just treats Youtube as a hobby and I still have doubts that he will if given a little clout, he should be fine. If he wants to earn a decent 4 figure amount then that would leave little time for streaming or video making.

As for @theralph, even Ubereats is not an option with all of that alcohol in his gunt. If he kicks the habit so that he can drive sober, he might die from withdrawal symptoms.

Matt lives in Olympia, capital of the state of Washington. He owns a $400k house, he's paying mortgage, and has 2 kids.
He is better off and more successful than the gunt by any metric that doesn't involve a scale and/or alcohol consumption.

Numbers are pretty good for a humble farmer. I listen to Null streams since stream.me and Gunt could only wish to be half as entertaining as MATI. Even unprepared.
Burning bridge with Null was his biggest mistake.

If null would stream at a consistent time with topics planned ahead he would be much more successful. Think about how during the dick drama or corn drama he stopped doing his show for months because "theres nothing to talk about" or how he only announces a show hours before doing it. Say what you will about Ralph, hes been streaming for 3 years and its been nearly the same time that entire time. 10-ish. Weeknights. Even if you stopped watching after the first baked fight and felt bored and wanted to watch last week you knew when and what time. Null its whenever and only if he isnt having a hissyfit about something (dick, ethan, 230, etc)

Matt probably makes a good income, especially with all the apps out there.

Relay, instacart, grubhub, ubereats, doordash, postmates, amazon. Lyft. Plus with where he is theres a lot of people who became shut-ins because of the epidemic. Also all those offer like $100 bonuses just to do 3 or 4 trips. So matt could literally work one hour and make $100 minimum. Hes probably earning way more than you would expect. Thats 8 apps he can juggle and collect daily bonuses on. It basically became the new waiter job. Especially in rich areas like where he is. Also he could have embraced this new persona as Matt the working class hero and just spend a few hours a week bitching about work. All he has to do is act like he does when the cameras are off

Crazy that the Killstream used to pull in 10k viewers at a time, now it struggles to break 1k. PPP and Godwinson were getting numbers greater than the Killstream when they were stream sniping, and they did everything off of a phone and with little or even no announcement.

Josh could definitely pull in greater figures if he could consistently stream/make videos off of forum content. However, it would inevitably be flagged for harassment, even if it were more of a documentary ala GenoSamuel/Fredrick Knudsen. The only way Josh is monetising forum content in video is if he writes a script, pays someone else to voice it, and hires an editor to do some editing so no-one knows he's the one profiting from it. Or he can go on dlive and get paid in lemons.
