Why was he so hesitant to put her in a care facility then, is Ralph really that big of a piece of shit he refused to help situate his mother for end of life care? The answer appears to be yes.

Yes, it was sold a while ago but I'm quite sure that was before his mother went to the hospital.
His mother was in the hospital for a few months and wasn't making further progress and is why the hospital kept demanding Ralph get after care setup for her end of life period. Ralph refused to thinking she would get better until the hospital went and got custody of Sandra to setup her future care while Ethan tried to block it so he could continue to siphon her benefits as she would have little to no money from the lodging & care costs.

From what I understand of the situation, the hospital only got guardianship over Sandra. After the initial couple of weeks where they would have monitored her and deemed her stable, there is absolutely nothing they could have done that an aged care facility couldn't have. All she needed was fundamental care like feeding and hygiene and she could have got that elsewhere at a fraction of the cost of keeping her at the hospital. Ralph could still have access to all her benefits, money, things in her name etc, the only thing he lost was the ability to make health care decisions for her.

I'm trying to understand this because wouldn't he be the emergency contact in this scenario? I would think he would have had power of attorney over pulling the plug unless it was placed with some relative of hers that I'm not aware of (far more likely).

The way it worked in this scenario is that Ralph wanted to keep her in the hospital and because she was incapacitated, he had the right to make primary health care decisions for her. The hospital didn't want to keep her there and to get her to leave, they had to assume guardianship so that they could make the decision of moving her to a long-term care facility so Ralph could no longer make medical decisions for her. Ralph would still be her emergency contact, if Sandra wrote in her will that Ralph was the executor he would still handle her affairs if she died and if she gave him power of attorney he would still be able to make decisions in terms of her bills, housing etc while she was alive.

It was just literally over this one contention that they wanted her out and he didn't and they won in the courts so Ralph couldn't do shit about it.

In the scenario of pulling the plug, Ralph would still have the right to decide what to do in that situation. From what I understand with coma patients that have little chance of waking up, the hospital can't decide if they pull the plug even if they are legal guardians. They get next of kin to decide and if they don't have next of kin, they try to contact a close friend.

Gator there is still time to usurp the Gunt and take the throne. Heck we are even giving you advice on how to get Rand and Dingo on your side by offering Dingo a cohost position
Dingo can finally become gator's Vee, the biggest inception of pathetic in recorded history.

Edit: GAYmenco is coming to GAYtime, the kill report soy replacement is happening. GAYtor put Ethan update on the title.

I made a post in the gator thread. I'll pass on this one. I tried tuning in a couple of times but can't do more than 5 minutes. It's like Tonky Time crossed with kill report crossed with that podcast Pat the NES punk does on a cocktail of haldol, morphine and salvia.
